I personally think it is ridiculously awesome - it's one of my very favourite comics - but then I generally like BKV.

I will say that it's not really about superheroing much - it's more about politics and the day to day life of the mayor, interspersed with flashbacks to superheroing. There are hints, though, that something epic is going to happen once we hit the final arc.
