drakyndra: The Music Meister demands you sing! (Kitten Invasion)

I'm melllltiiiiing....

Gah! It is so goddamn HOT! Horridly, painfully, awfully hot.

I do not like it, I do not like it at all.

So it was very lucky that work was air-conditioned. (Speaking of, I have yet again proved that Saturdays at work pwn. Sold more tickets today than in the entire of the week. Then again, it was a crap week.)

Air-conditioned trams are good, also. Particularly when you have the entertainment value of overhearing the girl sitting behind you detailing the plot of HBP to a friend. I discovered that everyone thinks the end is very sad, even if they haven't read it. Oh, and the girl who hadn't read it had two questions. The first was whether Snape was evil or not, and the second was whether Ron and Hermione had finally gotten together.

Haha! So much for non-fans thinking it's Harry/Hermione! *is smug at Harmonians*

Also, I discovered that a good way to kill a a bit of time in the city is to wander down to Melbourne Central (nice, air-conditioned, Melbourne Central), and stand outside the petshop watching the kittens play. OMGSOCUTE!

And on the subject of kittens, check out my new icon (by [livejournal.com profile] ikonsbykate) *is dead from the cute*

I hope tomorrow is a bit cooler. I need to fax a house application to [livejournal.com profile] altheas, and go to a house inspection, and both require large amounts of walking in non-shady areas.

Bloody hot weather.

ETA: Good news, everbody!

I have heard - from several, rather knowledgable sources - that Futurama will be coming back.

In four straight to DVD movies, but what the hell. It's Futurama.

*is even more dead from awesome*

Aww, so cute!

I think we had that heatwave last week. Fun day at work, cos the trains have to go slower (track warping) and thusly were right off schedule.

I dunno if it was hot today; I sat on my lazy ass in my air conditioned bedroom all day, heh.

Kittens are teh cutest thing ever, oh yes they are.

And I don't catch a train, so I didn't have any issues there. I had just had trams, which weren't too bad. And walking, which was very bad.

*is in a unit with non AC. Woe*

Tomorrow is going to be 43. You are going to be a puddle.

Today was Saturday ...

And who would these "knowledgeable sources" be? Since Peter Liguori, president of broadcasting at FOX, said "there haven't really been any active negotiations at this point", and that was two days ago.
Chances are good that there will be more Futurama on TV, but no mention has been made of "movies" or "straight to DVD". After all, if FOX allows more to be made, why the hell would they run it straight to DVD? They'd put it on air first to get their ratings up.

Still, I believe I speak for all Futurama fans when I say Woop Woop Woop Woop Woop Woop Woop Woop!!

Totally did not just edit that post.

ARGH!

[identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com 2006-01-21 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I saw it on several different forums, including [livejournal.com profile] futurama, which had a link to the Billy West forums, in which BW confirmed it. It seems. (He claims to have heard it from David X Cohen)

I might be wrong. But it was just everywhere today.

[identity profile] neo-leviathan.livejournal.com 2006-01-21 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
Hmm, I guess it's entirely possible that new deals have been done in the past day

[identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com 2006-01-21 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
It is. I had some skepticism at first, but then one of the guys I heard it from apparently knows BW quite well, and confirmed it... we shall see. For now, Iam being optimistic.

And I had heard the straight to DVD rumours before, so it has a ring of truth to me.

Heh. Well, it doesn't bother me except all the whiny callers that whine because their train is three minutes late. Not that I blame them, really; with all the illegal snap strikes the train drivers keep pulling, noone has any faith in the service anymore.

And kittens pwn. I had to go snuggle mine because that icon is so cute. And I think I must snuggle him again just because you used it again.

[identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com 2006-01-21 07:35 am (UTC)(link)
That mustn't be fun.

*uses icon again* Aha!

I would snuggle one of my cats, but they are all at my parents place (4 and half hours away).

Futurama? really? Oh that is great news :D

Re Ron/Hermione - JK Rowling couldn't make the fact they those two are her HP OTP any more blatant without putting it in bold in really big font in the book.
