drakyndra: The Music Meister demands you sing! (Default)

Another group of people who deserve the special hell...

...are those who play music in public buildings at 3am in the morning. Three freaking AM! Who the hell listens to music at that time of night?

The girl next door is a fucking idiot, I swear. She is seriously disturbing my calm - Not to mention my sleeping pattern. And she just does not take a hint. At about half past four, night before last, she had music going. And to make it even worse, it was the same song, over and over and over again. Naturally, i am infuriated, so I minorly go off at her (it was 4.30am, remember). At which point she slams the door in my face (Though admittedly turns the music off).

I think things are solved. But then, last night, she does it again! And I get horribly sleep deprived, because the idiot isn't thinking about anyone apart from herself.

So, for self-help today, I was terribly, terribly tired. When serving out brunch, I must have been the picture of attractiveness - barely keeping upright, one of those hideous hairnet things, and plastic gloves (sadly, not blue). After about an hour, the smell of the food was making me nauseous, and by the end of it I had officially declared Me/Wall = OTP! Because the wall was about the only thing stopping me from collapsing in a heap.

*sighs* I got a bit of sleep this arvo, but not nearly as much as I need. I think from now on, I might have be a little more pre-emptive. That is to say, if The Idiot has any music after midnight, I'm going to have a word with her. And if it isn't stopped by the end of the week, I'm seeing the tutors.

Now, to get back to my Creative Writing work...

Yes, that they do.

Have you considered asking her if anything's wrong and if you can help?

Maybe she's got a load of issues that are giving her more sleep-deprivation than you.

Anything's possible. It still doesn't give her the right to play music at that time - the college rules state that residents must show respect for others when it comes to noise, "Not interfere with the rights of neighbours to work, sleep or study", and that "it is not the responsibility of other residents to inform noisemakers that their behaviour is unacceptable."

Also, it states that all music from CD players, televisions, radios etc. are not allowed after 11pm. I'm not that strict about it, but enough is enough.
