[Insert amusing heading here]

Oh, yay, [livejournal.com profile] daemon42 has finished making my scarf! I'll go and see him tomorrow and get it, but yay! New scarf!

That'd bring my collection up to... er, I'm really not sure. At last count it was forty something, I think.

But still, yay [livejournal.com profile] daemon42! *huggles*

Also, I can't believe I forgot to mention this the other day, but Doctor Who made fandom_wank. Only a little wank, and not the most amusing, but considering how goddamn wanky the fandom is, I'm amazing that it took this long.

It's brilliant, that's what it is. That funny, funny stupidity...

And while I'm speaking of funny, a Doctor Who fanvid, set to the Captain Planet theme song. Complete and utter crack, in the best possible way.

Hehe. Came across a rather crackified answering machine message at work today. "Please call back. Or maybe the front."

Guess what! Guess what!

I'm torrenting an episode of Doctor Who!

[identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 06:36 am (UTC)(link)
Yay! Good for you!

Which episode is it?

[identity profile] chocolatepot.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 06:57 am (UTC)(link)
It says: Dr. Who.1x01.Rose.WS. Is that a new Season 1, or is it from a long time ago?

[identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 07:16 am (UTC)(link)
Yep, that's the New Series Season One. Which, of course, annoys some fans, who think it should be called Season 27. (Because the old series had 26 seasons, see?)

Ah, Whovians. Wanky over the stupidest things.

[identity profile] --kali--.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 11:22 am (UTC)(link)
DW doesn't need F_W for it's fandom wank - we've got the Outpost Gallifrey forums for that :D

[identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 04:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Very, very true, that.

[identity profile] melata-fic.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 11:49 am (UTC)(link)
Call it forty-two. Nice number to have.

There should be more F_W stuff for Doctor Who, really. *grin* Mind you, I was counting down for that once, ever since I saw the creative spelling.

[identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 04:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Good point.

Yes, there really should. I've been predicting it for ages. And who else wants to bet that once that kiss shows up, we shall be getting so much wank?

[identity profile] melata-fic.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 05:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm. Probably. Though we still don't know if it's plot-device kiss or not.

[identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 05:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Even if it a plot device kiss, there will be wank. Trust me, there is wank on anything Who related. Just look at OG...

[identity profile] melata-fic.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 07:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Good point. *grin* I wonder why OG doesn't get featured on F_W all that often.

[identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 08:01 pm (UTC)(link)
It's because it's a closed forum, and so hardly anyone who isn't in the fandom can go see what the fuss is.

If they could, though, it'd be f_wed so bloody often. The RTD/Anti-RTD debates, the Doctor is asexual/not debates (including all that guff about looming), the "this episode sucks" arguments, the best Doctor/worst Doctor arguments, the half-human fiasco and the endless "is it canon?" arguments.

Ah, Whovians. So entertainingly batshit.

[identity profile] melata-fic.livejournal.com 2006-01-10 09:14 pm (UTC)(link)
True. *grin* Otherwise, it'd be on there quite a bit.

Hmm. I suppose lj's more civil about it, because I'm sure I've seen all of those at some point. :)

Some of them are a bit... intense, for want of a better word.

[identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com 2006-01-11 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
Yes indeedy.

Yeah, LJ tends to be a bit more civil. On the most part, anyway. But you still get the crazy.

And yes, intense. That was the word I was looking for. ;)
