Welcome to the (sur)real world

Well, the show last night was certainly...interesting. Without a doubt it was the weirdest thing I have ever seen, but as anyone who knows we can testify, I highly approve of weirdness. So I actually quite liked it. Everyone else's reactions were a bit mixed - some loved it, some hated it, and one girl slept through the whole thing!

Anyway, it had very interesting music, but overall it was just a visual spectacular. It looked really amazing, and there was a lot of humour. Very eccentric and French (fitting, since it was by a French writer)

You gotta love French surrelists.

Here's my (translated) Alliance Francaise poem from last year:

Forty children in a room
A black board and its triangle
A big circle, hesitant and deaf
Its centre beats like a drum

Some letters without words or homeland
In a painful wait

The hard paraet of a trapezium
A voice rises and fades away
A furious problem
It wriggles and bites its own tail

The jaw of an angle opens
Is it a dog? Is it a she-wolf?

And all the numbers of the world
All these insect which undo
And redo their ants nests
Under the fixed gaze of the boys

Talk about surrealism...
