So the person who normally puts up the really really fast episode downloads apparently hasn't done so this week - at least not yet. So I have to resort to other sources, which are far too slow for my liking.

*looks at the 1 hour and 51 minutes remaining and sighs*

ETA: Oh, you little bastard! I thought I had found another download that looked really good - it was going quite impressively fast to start off with, so I cancelled the one I had going. And naturally, as soon as I do that, the fast download slows down immensely.

I had an hour and half to go on it. Now I have to wait three hours for the new one. *emo*

ETA2: ...Or not. It's speeding up on me again. Now only 1 hour and 15 minutes.

I have no idea. And I'll live with it. I'll just get rather bored as I try to kill time, without looking at my oh-so-spoilery flist.

I know. Have been downloading for two and a half hours so far. 20 minutes left, apparently. aaaaagh.

This is most annoying. And I need to find some way to kill time while I wait - I can't just do my usual cup of tea and sandwhich.

Bummer. I still torrent mine, and I drag myself out of bed about 5am to get it started so that it's done when I wake up a few hours later.

And because I'm impatient, I queue two so that the chances of one being done by wake up time are better, heh. I find that torrents cycle speeds, too--they'll go really fast for a bit, then slow down for a bit; all due to the way it works, I guess. Some chunks come faster because more people have them, but others might just have the one source, but I like it because the rate is hyperbolic.

With direct downloads, the more people grabbing it the slower it goes, but with torrents it's the other way around. They start slower, but they speed up fast. I haven't yet woken up to find mine still going.

Luckily, when I say mine sped up again, I mean that - it's now four times faster than it was when I was moaning. Only 12 minutes left to go. And I have music playing, and something to eat, so that's no problem.

I've just finished watching it, so now I'm doing the slog through the flist to see what other people thought. And then I better get my arse in gear to finish my smut for the challenge tomorrow.
