And a random question:

So, which bit do we think made the Doctor cry?

(Spoilers in the comments, obviously)

ETA: And just to compare, I asked fandom_wank for their answers to this question

No spoilers ;)

Jeez, take your bloody pick. I mean the scary stuff starts up right away and then...well, that was my first wibble...no, my first wibble was...

Okay, seriously, take your pick. ;)

When Dobby died. Cos I was a puddle on the floor, oh ys.

Dobby.

I'm going with Dobby as well. Despite the unfortunate Ood precedent, one likes to think that the Doctor would have a lot of time for the weird, non-human slave races.

asdfkewrtwkgkgkg I didn't put 2 & 2 together (thinking you were talking about the Sound of Drums and not the Shakespeare Code) and I looked in F_W and now I is slightly SPOILERED!!!!!

Bugger.

But I get the book in an hour and two minutes. That oughtta teach me to stay away from fandom during a big book release.

No, wait... it was Martha what cried in that one, yes? I don't know how, but my dense brain totally did not catch on that we were not talking Who tho. It's only 8 in the morning on a Saturday right now, cognitive functions are obviously not on line. LOL.

Ah, timezones and sleep deprival...

Remus, pervy werewolf fancier that he is. ;)

(And Hedwig. And Dobby. And definitely Fred.)

Fred's death--he would be a Forge fan, all the pranks and thumb-in-the-eye to the established powers and such. I've also decided he's fond of Percy because Percy puts him very vaguely in mind of Romana I.

[identity profile] doyle_sb4.livejournal.com 2007-07-21 03:08 pm (UTC)(link)
...okay, suddenly craving Percy/Romana fic.

You know it could happen. *diabolical laughter* *diabolical feeding of new plot bunny*

[identity profile] sparks-for-sale.livejournal.com 2007-07-22 08:50 pm (UTC)(link)
oh. OH.

Well now you've got me wanting that too.

[identity profile] doyle_sb4.livejournal.com 2007-07-21 03:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Obviously the fact that Ron and Hermione called their daughter Rose... (come on, somebody's bound to suggest it!)

[identity profile] doyle_sb4.livejournal.com 2007-07-22 10:48 am (UTC)(link)
LOLZ. Oh, fandom.

Snape! *sniffles a bit*

I'd say Fred, but I really like the suggestions Dobby or mentions of 'Rose' as well...

All the mentions of Dumbledore and Grindelwald's misspent youth reminded him of his own and how the Master was still dead in "The Shakespeare Code".

Bonus old-skool proof: when Voldemort goes to find Grindelwald at Nurmengard, he's all decayed and skeletal, just like the Master was that one time. And then the Doctor gets in touch with his inner Snape and emos some more.

Same place I did - when Harry marched out to die, thinking about how he didn't want to but had to.
