And it actually felt like a spring day today, too

Firstly: Thanks to everyone with their Thoughts On yaoiFairytales at yesterday's post. They are much appreciated and will be most helpful.

And onto today:

So, in a sort of sequel to this post here from a couple of weeks back, guess what got brought up in one of my Psych tutes today?

Yep, that's right, chavs.

This seems to be becoming a bit of a theme.

As for my other psych tute today, I managed to successfully argue my way into a better grade on my last assignment through pointing out an unclear point in the requirements.

I mean, yeah, the grade only changed because I had been just below the borderline for the next mark up, but still... Go Go Gadget Whining Powers!

And after that I went to the circus.

Okay, it was actually this thing, which was some Circus School kids doing movie themed acts. Which ranged from the blatantly obvious, like Catwoman with some whip cracking, to the amusingly fitting, like cowboys on unicycles, to the just plain WTF. Like Anakin and Obi-Wan fighting while standing on top of big rolling balls. Was a fun way to kill an hour, anyway.

And then I went back into the city and spent like ten minutes standing around the takeaway joints at Flinders Street being perplexed. Because seriously, WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK ARE CHURROS?

THEY LOOKED STRANGE AND INEXPLICABLE AND I DIDN'T LIKE IT ONE BIT. THESE CHURROS BAFFLE AND ANGER ME.

CHURROS >:(

Churros = the Krispy Kremes of the Latin world. Deep-fried yumminess that is horrendously bad for you. Bafflement and anger are a bit much, but avoiding them is nonetheless probably wise. ;-)

BUT THERE WAS ONE THAT HAD A SAUSAGE INSIDE IT!

THAT'S JUST NOT RIGHT

Sausage? That's funny. I've never seen those- just the ones with cinnamon and sugar.

Australian sausage churros! We should head (waaayyyy) down south and check them out.

Hmmm, no sausage churro on the menu, but the savoury cheese one is more than a tad bizarre.

Even more bizarre is this statement: Many customers with Halal or restricted diets are safely able to enjoy a delicious churro snack! They have a ham and cheese empanada on the menu.

I need me some go Go Gadget Whining Powers.

They are very useful indeed.

I believe they are some form of doughnut, although I fail to see any resemblance whatsoever. They alarm me also, because after only hearing about them from the shop at Flinders St Station they seem to be everywhere.

Still avoiding.

They are... exceedingly strange.

Oddly enough I first learnt about churros when I ate two on Thursday at the Vic Market. That Spanish Doughnut van seems to have been around forever but I'd never tried them before. I never want to eat doughnuts again.
