It's good to know that no matter how wanky and stupid fandom might get, there will always something as ridiculously awesome as this going on in fandom somewhere.
And whilst I am on the subject of things that make me giggle, news from Fandom Wank: Due to the epic Harry Potter Lexicon Wank The Leaky Cauldron is cutting ties with the Lexicon.
It's more amusing when you consider how big the fallout will be than in itself, but... yeah. Kind of puts the insignificance of shipwank in perspective.
