So, I went and took the bandage off, to see how my foot was going (it's quite decently walkable, but I have a fairly noticable limp).

It's all purple and blue and ick. :(

So do I. I am supposed to be having a social life this week.

At least you can use to to impress boys - they like a good injury.

Ouch, that sounds more than a bit unpleasant!

I don't know whether this is any sort of comfort to you, but I once managed to bruise my chin and my elbow as well as destroy my DVD drive while preparing to watch a movie on my laptop. So, you're at least not the only one prone to film-related accidents.

Chin, elbow and DVD drive? How did you manage that one?

From: [identity profile] aervir.livejournal.com

Quite easily, actually! :)

I was watching a two-parter of a series I love and had to change DVDs after the first part. While doing so, I stood in front of my desk (where the computer was), basically bouncing up and down in excitement. So, I slipped with my socks on the wooden floor and started to fall. But I didn't quite manage to hold onto anything; I merely hit the open DVD drive of my laptop with my elbow (which then slammed into the half-open deak drawer below) and crashed with my chin onto my desk.

I have to use an external DVD drive ever since, which is the price to pay for an astounding degree of clumsiness, I guess.

Fangirlishness clearly requires some great sacrifices; in fact, squeeing is very serious business.

I've spent an hour signing up to LJ to tell you this: "I've spent the day quoting the fact you twisted your ankle - in true companion style - as proof that Army of Ghosts is the best thing ever."

It hardly seems worth it. No, hang on. IT IS WORTH IT!

That is all.
