The latest from [livejournal.com profile] dw_anon: The Sekret Cabal of Masters of Doctor Who fandom have been revealed! Our diabolical schemes of choosing who in fandom will be hated, loved, oppressed and just mercilessly mocked have been thwarted! Now who will decide who is in, and who is out this week?

So far it's shown up at clairvoyant_wank, but not as yet fandom_wank.

I bid you adieu, my lovely comm of diabolical plots of oppression, evil, and general domination of fandom. And really cool tags. *waves the Gayliens farewell*

ETA: [livejournal.com profile] principessa05 is made of awesome. "You're right to be frightened. One time, she made a post where she said that she liked Reinette better than Rose! That made a corner of the fandom slide off the cliffs and into the sea ... it will forever be known as Drakyndria, the lost continent."

ETA2: And it's hit fandom_wank

Time for a namechange then. ;)

Are those commenters 13 or so? The ones who're taking this all so seriously, that is. Sheesh, I was an avid X-Files fan and I saw less paranoia and conspiracy-theories in the show than in that meme.

From: [identity profile] punk-rock-nerd.livejournal.com

Your fandom is batshit crazy.

Like for serious.

*thought the X-men fandom was craziest. Has now been proved wrong*

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

This is an ex-Master of Fandom!

Some of the conspiracy theories were hilarious, yo.

From: [identity profile] thedorkygirl.livejournal.com

And we were worried that my icon might make wank.

From: [identity profile] yattara.livejournal.com

Nah, I think HP is still far wankier.

*uses HP-icon just because.*

From: [identity profile] yattara.livejournal.com

Now who's going to tell us which character to hate?

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

You know what we need? Commune member icons. For real.

From: [identity profile] thedorkygirl.livejournal.com

I was thinking that I didn't have the skillz to make any!!!!!!

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

Nor do I, sadly.

*uses the only icon she has ever made*

From: [identity profile] thedorkygirl.livejournal.com

Steeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, where are you to make our icons?

From: [identity profile] fa11ing-away.livejournal.com

I would once again like to thank fandom for the giggle-factor.
Have you been twirling your moustache of world domination recently, [livejournal.com profile] drakyndra?

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

You think if we say her name three times, she'll appear?

Steve, Steve, Steve!

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

You cannot go past fandom for entertaining crazy.

And yes. Yes I have.

From: [identity profile] fa11ing-away.livejournal.com

How ood!
And my, how I want pictures of that. Iconised, animated and in glorious technicolor!

From: [identity profile] fa11ing-away.livejournal.com

ah, but do you possess a fake moustache? *raises an eyebrow*

From: [identity profile] nostalgia-lj.livejournal.com

Don't I just WISH that I had the power to run people from the fandom...

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

I'm still trying to work out who it is we supposedly blacklisted.

From: [identity profile] chocolatepot.livejournal.com

I only had four hours of sleep last night, I keep typing things which make little sense.

I'm trying to figure out how much of fandom I'm in control of, given the number of private comms I'm in.

From: [identity profile] fa11ing-away.livejournal.com

How could you do that to me? You shattered my hopes and my dreams, leaving but crumbs on the footpath to be carried away by the ants to aid in their intergalactic war against the Bubble-fish of The Planet Formerly Known As Bleep.

*runs off to cry*

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

That's a good point: How many fandoms am I in control of now?

From: [identity profile] kittenblah.livejournal.com

The wank just isnt being brought. It's almost a bit gutting.
And I was trying so hard to be as weird as possible to rile someone up. Drat.

From: [identity profile] ex-cribbins.livejournal.com

You can't have been the master of fandom. I'm the master of fandom. And so is my dog, Callie.

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

Weirdness is fun. Pity. But it's over on fandom_wank now, so go us.

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

Were you a member of our Super Sekrit Oppressive Cabal?

If not, than you weren't a master of fandom.

From: [identity profile] ex-cribbins.livejournal.com

Oh, I'm the eminense greasy behind it all, you know. You lot merely thought you were in charge.

I bet you weren't even aware that Kate Orman isn't a real person. I made her out of old toilet rolls and Blue-Tac in 1992. 'Twas a bit tricky fooling Jon on the wedding night, I can tell you.

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

Oh, you're greasy all right...

But that's some mad Kate-making skillz you got going on there. I'm impressed. Truly. Who else have you constructed?

From: [identity profile] ex-cribbins.livejournal.com

Sorry, I was in the middle of quoting Paul Cornell out of context.

Where was I? Ah, Kate.

Getting the hair right was difficult. Never really felt satisfied with the outcome (too Colin Baker). She remains my only success. After the failure of my Middlesex Homunculus (the cerebral cortex of a rotweiler stapled to a Chucky doll (http://www.moviemaniacs.net/mm2/chucky/front.jpg), which proved so unstable that it ran off to create Faction Paradox and libel Mark Gattiss), I decided it'd be much easier to manipulate events via the medium of springer spaniels.

::pauses to read paragraph::

Christ, this nonsense just pours out of me.

Anyhow, I've taken up enough of your time (I only turned up here to make sense of some weirdness that made it through a bloglines post), so I'll take my leave.

GODDAMMIT. I only got initiated to the 33rd level! Who will oversee my tutelage in the dark rites of TehCommunism now??

From: [identity profile] cesario.livejournal.com

quick! let's make a list!

what? we have to do it publically, our iron curtain's been taken out for dry cleaning.

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

You shall never complete your training. The secret knowledge will be forever denied to you...

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

After the failure of my Middlesex Homunculus (the cerebral cortex of a rotweiler stapled to a Chucky doll, which proved so unstable that it ran off to create Faction Paradox and libel Mark Gattiss)

*dies laughing*

It might be nonsense, but it's hilariously so.

Where is this bloglines post, by the way?

From: [identity profile] ex-cribbins.livejournal.com

I have a continuous search on the phrase "doctor who" running through a feed on my bloglines account, as a way of dipping into the wider pool of what people are saying about Who. It throws up a lot of irrelevant stuff*, naturally, but sometimes something out of the ordinary pops up. Yesterday, it led to this (http://www.bloglines.com/preview?siteid=1367&itemid=3449), a post on fandom_wank about some stuff on [livejournal.com profile] dw_anon. My curiosity was aroused and I had a look around to see what on earth was going on; as you were one of the people named, I landed here on the way.

Fandom, eh? What larks. And I thought things could get heated on Usenet...

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

Ah, fandom, you so crazy.

(I have never read the Usenet things. The stories I have been told about it scare me.)

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

I'm sorry, I can't quite make out what you are trying to say here.

From: [identity profile] neadods.livejournal.com

Harry Potter fandom is right up there, but Beauty and the Beast fandom is still at levels of batshit that other fandoms just can't compete with.

I'm sorry Tara deleted the comm. I don't see the harm it was doing, and bowing to the pressure from a wingnut only exacerbates wingnuttery.

From: [identity profile] --kali--.livejournal.com

Do you dye your twirly moustache the same colour as your hair. That would be quite a look.

I was enjoying all the crack!fic and Alf!manips *is grumpy that it all went wanky*

If you'd like to check it out, try reading alt.fan.pratchett... It used to be relatively sane (For certain values of sane, possibly including the Bursar ;-)). Although I left in favour of LJ (just much, much easier to access...), so I don't know how it's been lately.

There never was all that much discussion of Pratchett, though...

XWA

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

That ould be... interesting, to say the least.

Also, the meme is still going. Slightly less interesting now, though.
