Hmmm. We have a new Psych lecturer. He seems okay for the one lecture so far - not nearly as quotable as Troy last semester, of course, but a lot more entertaining than the woman we've had so far this semester. Some quotes are listed below.

I also took my laptop to uni, for the first time ever. After quite a lot of fiddling, I managed to get the wireless working, and so managed to get quite a few rather entertaining songs downloaded - yay for my flist, and, ah, other people's flists!

And on the subject of downloads, the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory soundtrack is officially The Awesome. Fabulous fun - if the movie is half as good as the music, it should be great to see.

And [livejournal.com profile] altheas put me onto The Ballad of Joss. *hearts*

Also, today (well...yesterday) was Trivia Night as part of Prosh Week. I went with the II team - 1010011010, or as we are also known, Team Satan. It was somewhat entertaining, if very noisy.

Oh, and was made most memorable by my slightly insane attempt to gain points for the team by singing Under the Bridge be the Red Hot Chilli Peppers infront of a couple of hundred slightly - and more than slightly - inebriated Uni students. Luckily, the song was quite a crowd-pleaser, and I got rather drowned out.

But all in all, quite fun.

Random Quotes:

[livejournal.com profile] altheas: "VSU is the anti-doughnut."

From one of the Psych slides, on the Milgram experiment:
"At 300 Volts he pounds the wall.
At 315 Volts he pounds again, then silence.
At 450 Volts you stop (You horrible psychopath)."

And from the actual Psych lecture:
"There are a lot of unemployed actors out there. You don't have to pay them much - they'll happily scream for a small amount."

"About 26 percent would get this right. But I am sure you'd do better - these are probably students from a different university."
I do believe today should win prizes for "Most Random Day Ever." Because it was all just...completely mental.

Entertaining, though.

I mean, to list some of today's weirdness:

- My Stalker is back again. He sat next to me in Maths, after turning up late, where he took no notes. Which was unsurprising, considering the only thing he took into the lecture was a bike helmet.
And he also smelled kinda funny.

- I got 19 out of 20 on my Maths assignment! Yayness! And the only mark I lost was due to a really stupid little thing - I wrote down the wrong number - so I am feeling much happier about Maths this semester.

- For lunch today, I decided to borrow an idea from the brain of [livejournal.com profile] annatheannoying, and have (of all things) a Nutri-grain sandwich. Which wasn't all that bad, actually, if a little soggy.

- Scav Hunt started. Which meant a huge long list of inanity (and nudity).

- Speaking of nudity, [livejournal.com profile] de_chel, [livejournal.com profile] knave_scurvy and one other person, streaking through Union House. Interesting.

- Antonia, my Creative Writing tutor - yes, my tutor - decided to take my class out to a pub on Lygon. Which is plenty random on it's own.
Nice drinks, though.

- At said drinks-with-tutor, some completely random old man turned up at our table for some unknown reason. And then stood there for like five minutes speaking Italian. Yes, he gave a completely random Italian speech to us. Which absolutely no-one understood. And just when we thought he was gone for good, he came back. And started singing. And wouldn't stop.

So I spent a while today being serenaded in Italian by some completely random old guy.

Uh-huh.
