THAT BITCH!

So, I was just about to finish up for the night and go get some sleep, and I hear The Roommate Who Hates Me leave. The timing puzzles me, but I had already discovered (through our patented leaving notes around system) that she was off for a week.

So I think nothing of it,and get ready for bed. Now, the last thing I am about to do is check my email. So I go up to the computer, and it isn't working. I try again. Not working, and MSN has signed me out.

I try to sign in, and get an error - and the troubleshoot isn't working. Now, this is starting to look familiar, so I dig up my instructions on how to reset the modem. And it doesn't work.

I try again. Still doesn't work.

At this point, I am utter bewildered, and start the normal types of fix-y things, restarting, turning the router on and off, et al. Still no change.

And I suddenly notice all the lights on the modem are dead. This worries me greatly. I check the cords, and they are all in correctly, and so I do the desperate thing, and ring that bloody ISP place.

And so, while I stand there, having being put on hold for an epic time, and just having someone on the other end speak to me, what do I notice?

That the little powerpoint, hidden behind the microwave, with a little black cord up to the modem is turned off.

Yes, that's right, just before she left, she flicked the power on the modem. Without telling me.

THAT BITCH! THAT FUCKING BITCH!

*is fuming*

I am so glad I leave this place in a week.

So, I get home from work, and go to check my email first thing. And what do I find?

Two emails from LJ. Informing me that I have been given anonymous gifts of not only paid LJ time, but extra user-pics.

That's right, for the next two months, I have access to 100 icons.

I don't know who did this, but I love you like a mad, mad loving thing.
