Dad went and flew over to Thailand last night. Which means just one week til I'm due to fly over. That's... mildly unnerving. Exciting, but weird.

In any case, Mum came down to drop him at the airport, drop off some luggage for me (since my suitcase died during the Queensland trip back in February), and to pick up The Sister and her gear from college. And then dinner over at Lygon Street.

Oh, I did manage to also end up at her hotel room for a bit, and ended up watching The Wizard of Oz. Man, I had forgotten how incredibly camp it was.

Random discovery of the day (Or yesterday, rather): Apparently my Dad is now a rowing coach.

As far as I am aware, he hasn't done any rowing in about 40 years.

I think I missed the part about why you're going to Thailand, but it sounds very exciting. I've never been to Asia.

Have a wonderful holiday!

We're going because my Dad wanted to, and my parents are paying for it. So just for the hell of it, really.

It's still a week off, really.

I can't think of a better reason for going somewhere. :)
