Well, the other night I went and attended one of the IH IT Committee meetings (Note: still don't know why I joined the damn thing), and apart from the normal boring stuff and generic complaints about things, there was also a rather amusing anecdote. Apparently, one day a little while ago, the Computer Lab Supervisor was in the Lab, and found, of all things, a set of underwear on the floor. Men's underwear. In the computer lab.

Which leads to some very frightening and worrying images. Such as what the hell went on in that lab.

Note to self: Stay away from the computer labs from now on.

In other news: I went and talked to my dear Programming Lecture about his no-show yesterday. And he said that he forgot. How nice of him.
Oh, and we have gone and gotten a project from him too. It actually seems interesting, if quite a lot of work. Ah, well...And it involves playing games of Connect-4 on the net for study, which is always good.

Addendum to yesterdays Pope comments: The best description of him ever was heard today. Darth John-Paul.
*dies*

And some random quotes from FAS (sorry, I forgot who they are from):
- "Oh baby, I'm percolating."
- "Alright. I want to ride an etcetera to school!"
- (About that milk Kieran Perkins was spokesperson for) "It's like suckling Kieran Perkins!"

Oh, and I am trying to decide whether I should go to [livejournal.com profile] mistresscarlett's Goth nightclub thingy on Sunday. Am rather uncertain, though it sounds fun...

Those undies sound very scary. But as long as there was no pair of pants nearby, it should be right.

And with the Connect-4 thing - are you playing against a computer? I used to have one of those hand-held Connect-4 games, and there was a way to beat the computer in 4 turns, as long as it made one crucial mistake...

As far as I know, there were no pants found. However, I didn't see for myself, so you never know.

With the Connect-4: we are supposed to be programming a very (I repeat: very) basic version of it in C. So we look at others to understand how they work, etc.

Sounds cool, yet complicated. Just don't create a sentinent computer mind that always wins...

No chance of that quite yet - I'be lucky to make one that actually wins.

Noughts and Crosses would be easier, probably - it's impossible to win against a computer in that. (and that's my last reply for the day - I'm tired after work this evening)

The first quote was me. We were talking about coffee. Possibly.
