I feel so dead right now. This is of course mainly due to Dark Zone last night, which for those who are not in the know, was a Midnight to Dawn session of laser tag out in Box Hill. Much fun, if exhausting.

And dead-making.

I liked it, actually. In the first game I came 23rd out of 24, so by the end I was quite pleased with my ranking of 13th by the final game. This was mainly gained of my extremely suicidal strategy of walking directly into the opposing teams bases, and standing there getting killed multiple times, until I got a break and could shoot up the base for the 1000 points. Once I had both, then I'd just find somewhere to stand and play sniper at the opposition. Fun...

Though it is rather amusing that my best ranking (11th) came from the game where you got 500 points from shooting people in the back. So I was in an alliance with [livejournal.com profile] neo_leviathan and [livejournal.com profile] lena_supercat, and whenever we got into a firefight with someone, I would go and shoot them in the back.

Yes, I am very trustworthy...

Otherwise, this weekend has consisted of op-shopping for a costume for Cell Block Tango, which is bought and in need of some cutting up to make easier to dance in (Black halter dress, and this weird lacy top thing). Also bought another top from the op-shop, because it looked brand new, and only cost me $5. And it was sparkly.

My attention was also caught by the fact that at Flinders St Station, they have advertising posters for Star Wars up everywhere. Literally everywhere. It was rather unexpected, and almost put me into fits of excitement. Brain...couldn't cope...too many posters...too much excitement...

And sleeping, of course. Speaking of which...

I haven't ever been in a Dark Zone session, but I know where it is. Just past the end of the 109 tram's route, isn't it?

Op shops are sometimes insanely cheap - I worked in one for a week, and bought some of the best stuff I found like a brand new "Worst Case Scenario Handbook" (rrp $15, I got it for 50c), and a couple of old Flashman books.

I dunno what tram - we all caught the train there.

And yay for op shops! They make me happy for all sorts of amazing cheap things!

Maybe you could volunteer at one - it's not hard work at all. Plus, you'd probably enjoy seeing some of the more interesting stuff.

When I was at Vinnie's, we had a set of coasters shaped like throwing stars come in...

It would be cool - but I would much rather a job that actually gets me some money, so I can have a bit of money to spend.

Speaking of spending money - I'll finally be getting Season 4 of Futurama this week.

It's about time!

I mean, I got it ages ago. So there is no more Futurama for me to buy. I had to fulfil my animated entertainment by buying the Star Wars: Clone Wars DVD (You know, that new one out. Not bad, actually, if way too short)

I only have one other animated show I'd pay for - Invader Zim.

Actually, make it two - Family Guy's pretty good.
