So, today I was walking down the street, and I saw a poster advertising one of those nightclub party thinies. Nothing much unusual there, right?

Well, on the bottom line of the poster, was the following:

Dress Code: Barack Obama

...

Uh-huh. This in Melbourne, Australia, no less.

I was mildly disappointed I hadn't charged the battery on my camera.

(And what would this entail wearing, anyhow?)

On a more depressing note of WTFery, apparently even in not-that busy streets of an evening, when one's shopping bag breaks and things fall out without noticing, people will pick up and walk off with things you have dropped before you've gotten even 20 metres away.

Seriously, humanity, you suck.

*snort* That reminds me, I saw a Vote Obama poster on the way home from uni the other day. Granted it was tacked up in someone's street-facing window rather than on a pillar somewhere, but still.

well according to a newsweek article Obama wears his shoes till they have holes in the soles, so basically if you just dress like a normal person you will be espousing his ~*workingclass ethics*~ probably.

I just really didn't expect that. I mean, yeah, US election is freaking everywhere, but this level of omnipresence half way across the world?

And I'm sure it was doing a lot of campaigning good.

...our elections are infecting even Australia? God, I'm sorry.

It would entail wearing a REALLY SEXY SUIT. That man really knows how to wear a suit.

Sadly, instead of a lot of people dressing snappily and wearing a good suit I can picture a lot of drunk bogans covering themselves in black boot polish and thinking it's hilarious. It's Australia, after all.

Sucky news about the shopping being pinched. Nothing too expensive, I hope?

At this point I think I honestly have a better idea of what's going on in American politics than I do my own countries.

That said, I don't think the Australian Liberal Party even knows what's going on in Australian politics...

Oh Australia. No matter how much I love you, there are times you are just full of fail.

Nah, only a couple of dollars worth. Which was why I was so bewildered: I could understand walking off with something valuable.

Then people would start complaining about how the Doctor shouldn't be black.

Dress Code: Barack Obama

That actually sounds pretty cool. Although it probably wouldn't be anything more than a nice suit or something.

people will pick up and walk off with things you have dropped

I hope you didn't lose anything important. If it was you. And that's just weird.

I hope you didn't lose anything important.

Eh, I'm stupid. Didn't read the previous commment.
