...It's handing in your last Maths Assignment for the semester. Yayness! I handed in it, and re-handed in my third Maths assignment (because I kinda-sorta *cough* failed *cough* that one, and they needed to duble check the marking.) Now all I have to do is that essay (due in two weeks) and study for all the freaking exams. Nice.

Oh, and I heard from my Mum today. Her America trip apparently is going ahead. That list of American stuff I want will need to be properly worked out then. Hmmm...

So instead of anything party-like, I shall be seeing her on my birthday (This Saturday, if you were wondering). Maybe I can convince her to take me to see Star Wars again. *hints at Mum*

On the subject of Star Wars, read this. I found it highly amusing. Oh, the things that people do...

Random Quotes:

The First (and ONLY) one from my Maths Lecturer:
"I'm not supposed to touch this. So, I am..."

[livejournal.com profile] ephant: "Sign up for Homosexuality here!"

From some historical guy in 1856:
"It is as good a decapitated gum tree as I have ever seen."

On the last one - WTF?

What did the Maths Lecturer touch, out of curiousity?

I've got a couple of exams coming up as well - well, it's Chemistry, really, then the GAT, and possibly the UMAT.

It's not as wrong as it sounded - she was touching the survey about her performance that she wasn't supposed to look at.

Have fun with your exams

BTW, it was this Sunday you were at Melb Uni, right?

From: [identity profile] aeque.livejournal.com

Yes, I shall be at Melb Uni this Sunday, the 29th of May, in the Redmond Barry Building, in the room near the Coke machine, at roughly 12.45pm. (Now that's specific...)

But I'll only be there for half an hour or so.

In other matters, do you happen to know what colour the M&Ms are at the moment? I saw the end of a Star Wars-themed ad for them, and it looked like they were black and white, which seems weird.

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

Meh. Well then, I may see you on Sunday then, as I don't seem to have anything on - unless you count that damn essay.

And I have no idea about the M&Ms. But now you are giving me cravings...

Speaking of chocolates, my parents brought back some Crunchies from NZ - they taste better over there.

They're also described on the packet as "Golden hokey pokey covered in Cadbury chocolate".

From: [identity profile] aeque.livejournal.com

Yes, they have an interesting device that turns sound into food.

Either that, or it's their word for honeycomb, as you may notice at the "New Zealand Ice Cream" shops.

I want a device that turns sound into food! It would be so cool!

I wonder what things would actually taste like.
I mean, to take a very Star Wars song, what would The Imperial March taste like?

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

What, like a really rich chocolate mudcake?

Mmmm, Imperial March...

From: [identity profile] aeque.livejournal.com

Just picture it - a chocolate cake in one of those spinning cake stands, spinning around to the Imperial March...

Oh yeah - back to the topic of Star Wars, I saw this today:

http://www.books-on-line.com/bol/BookDisplay.cfm?BookNum=19884
It's some of the draft scripts of A New Hope, apparently.

I'll be seeing Ep3 on Saturday - after I get back from Basketball. We're playing against Geelong.

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

I've seen some of those draft scripts, but it's intriguing how very different the original concepts were to the actual film...

And good luck for your basketball! Oh, and then have fun with Episode Three.

From: [identity profile] ephant.livejournal.com

Yes, yes I do.

I got quoted :D :D

and without context it is even funnier than it was at the time ;)

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

You should see my collection of quote files. Lots of funniness, and without context it all seems incredibly random.

We'll need luck.

And I realise you might watch it soon, but here's a link anyway - for the Star Wars Gangsta Rap: http://atomfilms.shockwave.com/af/content/gangsta_rap

Pretty funny - especially Yoda...
"I'll mold ya, then fold ya;
I thought I told ya,
Don't be unwise; judge me not by my size;
You won't believe your eyes, watch the X-Wing rise."

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

*thinks of a suitably Star Wars quote on luck, but chooses not to share it*

Ooh, linkies!

From: [identity profile] aeque.livejournal.com

Luck and Star Wars?

I can only think of the scene prior to the pod race.

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

Dear me...think Episode 4. It shouldn't be that hard...

From: [identity profile] aeque.livejournal.com

Uh... when the ugly red R2 unit blows up?

Or when he hits the Death Star's weak spot?

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

No, no...I'll give you a hint - It was said by Obi-Wan.

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

*is exasperated*

Okay then. the quote is:
"In my experience, there's no such thing as luck."

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

Obi-Wan said it. Though it was to Han. (It was Luke was doing the defendy thing with the lightsabre against the floaty zappy ball. Han goes, "I say it's luck." and Obi-Wan responds.)
