Same, really. Most of my friends are into a lot of gaming geek stuff, not really anime. I've never really had an "anime" friend until recently, with my friend Ian finally getting into anime. Some people I knew in Japan liked some animes, but we rarely agreed on them!
I wish I had spoken to some of them, but I'm not really one to just walk up to people and start talking to them, usually.
