What a thing to wake up to. I ended up crying over my breakfast as I read all the tributes today.

I just don't really know what to say - in spite of everything, include his medical issues, I just never really imagined a world without Terry Pratchett. I found his books as a child, really, and they've been with me since then. In my list of favourite books and authors, lots of writers have come and gone, but Pratchett was firmly lodged in place. So much of what inspires me, what I think and feel has come from what he wrote; some people look to philosophers or historical figures, but I looked to his books.

And now he is gone.

I'm just going to go be sad for a while.

At least I got to meet him once.
