n00bs! My work, she has been invaded by n00bs! Dozens of them! (Well, five...)

But still, n00bs everywhere! *flails*

Apart from all the n00bs, work was pretty much the same as always: a mixture of dull and entertainingly weird.

I did have the crappiest "isn't home" attempt ever, though.

I was given a number from this man for his son, Kieran, as a possibility for selling some tickets. So I ring the number and ask the girl who answers for Kieran. She says she'll go get him. So, she wanders, and I hear her telling some guy - who would be Kieran - that someone's on the phone for him. He wants to know who it is.

So she comes back to the phone and ask who to say is calling. I tell her I'm from The Comedy Club. She takes her few steps away from the phone, and tells Kieran. He says he isn't interested. She says he doesn't know what I want, but he is just a bit apathetic.

So she comes back and tells me he isn't home. In disbelief, I comment that I could hear him talking.

Her response: "Err...he's in the bath." And then hangs up.

Uh-huh.

Also, a link I gacked from [livejournal.com profile] insomnius: The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny. Scratch everything I have said before, this is the best video on the web.

Have you heard anything about the one-off sequel to Blackpool? I read something about it in an interview with Sarah Parish today.

I've heard it's going ahead, that it's called "Ripley's Gold", and that Parish and David Tennant have cameo roles in it,but apart from that, not much.

I am friending you because I keep seeing your name around on comments that amuse me, and also because you pleasantly remind me of [livejournal.com profile] lizbee, one of my bestest net.friends, who also just friended you, probably because you remind her of her. What with the Australian thing and the wacky roommates and HP and DW and Firefly and the dry sense of humour and all.

Plus, tuna is love. The end.

I have been saying things that have been amusing people? Where was this? When? I must record this for future reference!

And I was wondering why [livejournal.com profile] lizbee had friended me. I just wandered onto my userinfo, and there she was on my Friend Of list. And I was all "Eepies, I am being friended by randoms!" Which confused me greatly.

And if you think these roommates are wacky, wait until you meet the lot from when I finally get a new place. That'll be me, [livejournal.com profile] fa11ing_away who is a fellow David Tennant squeegirl, and [livejournal.com profile] altheas, who is a geeky evil lawyer-in-training. It'll be so much fun.

Tuna is indeed love. I had some for dinner. And also pretzels.

But not, you know, together. Because that would be weird.
