After today's classes (mostly boring, except Linguistics, which was fun because we were messing around with phonetics), I went and wandered down into the city for some brief browsing.

And I decided that Minotaur officially pwns liek whoa.

Not only did they have in the new Doctor Who Magazine, which I picked up, because it was fantabulous. And has a a comic that is so unbelievably Ten/Mickey slashy, that I just about died of the awesome reading it.

The comics are now officially canon. FACT.

But, they also had in

I ♥ you, Minotaur. You are love.

So, apart from the fact that for no apparent reason, I am feeling utterly dreadful, it was a pretty good day.

Though I have to ask, WTF is with the weather? It's bloody freezing.

Bad pictures! They tempt me! Bad! *stares*

*gasp*
Ten!doll
in Australia! They actually sell them! I must go hunting.

I agree. The weather is absolute crap. I am sitting here freezing to death due to broken heating. I spent the whole day outside in the cold with no shelter, and am now an icicle.

*snickers*

We had that weather last week. Though I think it gets even colder during its trip across the nullarbor.

Also, I just put my boy on a plane to Melbourne two hours ago, therefore I must snicker some more.

Ten is teh cute. This minotaur sounds like a cool place. I really should see if if Valhalla is still around in Perth, they are the geek place to be over here.

I got it from Minotaur, which is a cult merchandise story in Melbourne. And they get things imported in directly from the Uk and the USA, so they are generally pretty good (if at times expensive)

The cold is not fun at all. I am wearing far too many layers, and ended up at Uni in a hat, long woollen scarf, trench coat and gloves, and I was still cold.

Firstly: spelt "maniacal"

Secondly: My Tennant! MINE!

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

You had to give us your weather, didn't you?

Melbourne is great (apart from the current weather)! So he's a lucky boy.

Ten is adorable. *loves*

And Minotaur is indeed pretty good. Sometimes rather overpriced, but they get things imported in directly from the UK and US, so you can find stuff there weeks before other places, and even some stuff you can't get elsewhere.

You know, I've only just looked at that icon? Takes me right back to first year uni, that does.

I love the whole Schrodinger's Cat thing. I even wrote some crack!poetry about it once.

Hee. I rather liked Pavlov's Dog, too.

And I just happen to be listening to Zagreus, one of the Big Finish Audios. It's all rather surreal; and features the very same cat. Only he's 10 feet long and quotes Alice in Wonderland.

Teehee.

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

Yeah, that was rather good too.

Sounds like that Audio is rather...interesting. Reminds me of the Unitary Authority of Warrington Cat, from Jasper Fforde's books (used to be the Cheshire Cat, but they went and moved the county boundaries)

Ninethly: *gets out chainsaw, and starts chopping off limbs*

Tenthly (he, Ten!): It's not the size that matters, it's what you do with it.
ext_23303: (filthy 5)

Bwahahahaha!

Yes, it's quite fascinating. The cat locks the Doctor (Eight, this is) in a box with a bottle of cyanide and refuses to let him out iuntil he's dead. So Doc tries to persuade him that he is in fact dead now. Doesn't work, though; “What kind of cat do you take me for? I’m no ordinary feline; I’m an illustration of the quantum theory of superposition.”

And there's also Peter Davison playing a Reverend pondering the problem of God as omnipotent versus benevolent. Only I can't focus on that because his voice is far too sexy.

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

This Audio sounds like complete and utter crack, I tell you. I must hear it.

From: [identity profile] fa11ing-away.livejournal.com

You're killing Ten! You're a monster *is shocked*

a) I didn't want to know what you do with your Ten doll ><
b) When they say that size matters, it's only a matter of inches that's being referred to. 5 inches is a bit different to 6 foot, honey.

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

It's you I'm killing, doofus.

As for b - I'll say. But wouldn't that be somewhat...painful?

Oh, they all are. Like when The Doctor and Charley meet up with Romana and Doc says: "Romana, this is Charley, my best friend ever. Charley, this is Romana, my best ever friend."

I'm sure I could "accidentally" paste download links...

There's a lovely person on [livejournal.com profile] doctorwho_eps who is uploading the entire Eighth Doctor series of audios. I am working my way through them. Rather different to reading a book or watching an ep, actually--I'm quite enjoying them.

From: [identity profile] fa11ing-away.livejournal.com

depends what we're talking about, dirty.
I was refering to Tenant himself, not his nether regions ;)

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

*smiles innocently *

Yeah, I've see them up there. The thing is, I am not good with listening to things for long periods of time - I get bored and have to be reading something, or fiddling with something at the same time, and when I do that, I generally start to tune out the sound. So I'll only grab audios that sound like they will very much interest me - which is kind of important with my limited laptop memory right now.

Aah. Makes sense.

And I am going to have to ask for a new HDD for my birthday because I have stuffed mine full of 100 Gb of DW downloads. And season 2 hasn't started yet!

I've been burning them to CD and playing them in the car--makes the 40 minute drive to uni much more interesting!

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

I was supposed to get a new Hard Drive a while back, but it appears my Mum forgot about it. *sighs* I have enough space for Season Two, though.

I travel to Uni via tram, so I could put them onto my iPod, and listen to that, but I am not on it long enough to finish a story ever (it's less than half an hour, really).

From: [identity profile] fa11ing-away.livejournal.com

oooh, dear. why is it that the conversation ALWAYS has to sink down to the nethers when we talk about Tennant?
don't get too excited there girly.

From: [identity profile] --kali--.livejournal.com

Snap! I've got one of them too. I still don't know who bought him for me though.

I NEED DR WHO TOYS!!!

(I followed a link to your journal from Outpost Gally... so, I'm just popping by to say hi) :)

From: [identity profile] tessavance.livejournal.com

Guess who's going to Minotaur tonight? Does Ten move, or is he stuck in that pose?

From: [identity profile] preciouslilme.livejournal.com

OMFG!!! They have it in! And I was only there a couple of days ago, so now I have to wait until Monday :( But Yay! How much did it cost?

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

Yep, he does move a bit. (My housemate and I got very giggly working this out).

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

Mine cost $26.95. And they had a couple there when I was in, but I don't know if they had more in storage or not,so I'd be quick if I were you.

From: [identity profile] preciouslilme.livejournal.com

yay, I have that much money! And it looks like I'll just have to go as soon as they open on Monday, because I'm working all weekend and so can't get into the city :(
