Also, I've heard some (very, very minor) spoilers for Fear Her. I think I may be rather looking forward to this episode.

In any case, the nest two eps both look like they are going to get certain different sections of fandom in an uproar. Hurrah! (My new fandom motto: Bring on the backlash)

Shippers: "It's okay. It was another country, and besides the wench is dead." (But cue a LOT of fic where Rose was somehow the mother, and where Rose asks him about it in that way that they never do.)

I agree on the asking about it fic. Which has a positive in that the not-so-crazy shippers might do a bit of research on Susan and all, and so we could get some nice old schoolish refs. But I refuse to read any fic in which Rose is the mother.

Asexualists: "Ah! But! A dad is not necessarily a father in the biological sense. And even then he could have grown it in a vat." (Cue belief that the kid could have been adopted and that how nothing short of the Doctor saying "I had sex with a woman and impregnated her in the normal way with which the viewer is likely familiar" will confirm he's a biological father.)

People have already tried to bring Miranda into it.
