I'm... getting sick, I know that, I've been doing that thing where I swing from shivering to sweating at rather short notice, and have had a sore throat for days, but that doesn't normally happen.
Judging from what you've said in other comments, it sounds as though you are coming down with a flu. But if the world keeps tilting, I'd really go and see a doctor, just to make sure that it's not anything more serious.
Either you'd better really hurry with the "getting well" process, or you'll just have to swallow about four Paracetamol to make it through the party and collapse afterwards.
(The second option is tried and true, but not that recommendable...)
Oh! That could explain it. It doesn't happen often once you're grown, but it did happen to me once. I was sick but I was in charge of planning a conference, and there was no way I could go home - I worked in a small office of 10 or so people and no one else would know what to do!
So, I sucked it up and did my best. I figured I just had a fever, because I was all wonky and I couldn't really think straight and to be honest, I could barely stand up. Most people told me I seemed perfectly fine, but they weren't there when I told Assemblyman Tonko (one of my state legislators) that around the office I refer to him as "the Tonkinator." (Fortunately I've left that job and am unlikely to meet him face to face again.)
At any rate, long story short (TOO LATE!), turned out I had a massive ear infection. Couple days of antibiotics and unconsciousness and I was right as rain.
Friend of my bf got this nasty ear sickness where one of the crystals that usually tell the body where 'Down' is got loose and told her that she was actually tilted about 90 degrees... I think she was sick most of the time.
Doctors told her to lie on that ear, just so maybe the crystal dropped back where it belonged.

Do you need a coffee or something? Or do you need a bit of World Glue to get stuck in this universe again?

Could you be developing a nasty (or indifferent) ear infection?

I don't think it's an ear infection, it's not painful at all, and it was only one brief flash of world twistiness.

Well, you know, maybe a flu is more probable
