I seem to get into arguments online about the most bizarre things. Srsly.

Anyway, earlier I was chatting with Rob. About insanely random stuff, mostly, like my exam results and how Writing is of the Dark Side, and unrequieted doughnut love. Though we did get onto Doctor Who eventually, mainly talking about Doomsday. His opinions of the Rose-arc there were surprisingly similar to some sentiments I had expressed, especially considering he was the one who brought it up, which made me happy.

Though he's got a bit of jetlag, poor guy.

Out in the Real World, we had a CHAS meeting today. Instead of Pancake Parlour, this time was in Chinatown. Which was, erm, cheap. (Well, it wasn't bad, but the soy sauce tasted funny, which put me off my rice). It was mostly about arranging events for this semester and all that. And dealing with ye old student union stuffs.

So, it ended up being me, [livejournal.com profile] fa11ing_away, [livejournal.com profile] tinyteddyqueen, [livejournal.com profile] becker_ and Callum, who has no LJ and therefore does not exist.

Far too much time was spent chatting about [livejournal.com profile] becker_'s lost noodle. No, you really don't want to know.

Of course after the meeting, we ended up wandering around Chinatown, partaking in it's delights somewhat. Namely, Bubble Tea, and Pocky.

Though I have to say, there are very few things in life quite so entertaining as browsing in a Chinese Supermarket.

We also ended up in JB Hi-Fi. I wanted to buy a movie DVD, since I hadn't gotten one in ages, but they didn't have either Mirrormask or Dark City to my woe. I ended up saying to hell with it, and bought some classic Doctor Who. Namely, City of Death. Because A) I am a Douglas Adams fangirl, B) I've heard very good things about it, and C) Since my flist was so "Yay, Romana!" I want to see what all the fuss is about.

So, when I get some free time, expect me to be commenting on that.

And, my timetable appears worked out. It's not the best - I have to days finishing after 7pm, and my 9am lectures are followed by gaps until afternoon classed, but I have Friday off, and no more than 4 contact hours a day. *sigh*

City of Death is LOVE.

AOTW looks very dodgy, but damn it is so GOOD. And it gave me this icon.

THIS IS A FAKE.

It was the naturaly choice, really. I'm a Douglas Adams fangirl. The meeting I was at tonight? Committee meeting for a Douglas Adams fanclub.

And I've heard so much good stuff about it, I couldn't resist.

You shall not be disappointed. And the above comments may make more sense after you've seen it. ;)

Pocky! Yay!

But you can't sniff at having Friday's off - that means three day weekends which are always of the win!

I'm looking forward to reading your thoughts on City of Death. :)

Hmmm, I might actually waste my evening by starting to watch Terror of the Zygons...

City of Death - the original hand!porn classic. They just can't keep their hands off each other. Enjoy.

...am I the only person who thought that while watching The Da Vinci Code?

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

Bizarrely enough, I did, despite not having seen this story yet.

But everything else about The DaVinci Code is fake, so...

Yes, I liked being able to arrange that, 'twas good.

It might be a while - we have some DVDs borrowed that need to be watched, and Uni starts up again on Monday.

I saw it, and there's this part where I automatically inserted THIS IS A FAKE, and then they showed some code or other. I just about died.

This is true. But I don't like that he borrowed all the research that did make sense. :(
