Bashing!fics make me headdesk

Huh. There's yet another Reinette bashing fic up.

Is it just me, or does anyone else have the urge to write a fic in which Rose is the evil one, and Reinette is the saintly victim, just to see how the batshit fanbrats would react?

However, if one wants some more amusing badfic, I'd check this out. Not only does it contain the least subtle moralising ever, but it has the Doctor being a graffiti artist, spray painting a satellite dish with the words "Heaven is a half-pipe." In Gallifreyan.

I just don't understand the Reinette bashers. People! She died! He's not going to change history for her! (Although I suppose he could pick her up, take her around the universe for a year or two, and bring her back ten minutes later - only problem with that would be getting the TARDIS to listen to him twice.) She was in one episode! Every couple of episodes there's a girl who is "better" than Rose, and they never end up actually between Rose and the Doctor - Lynda, Nancy, Cathica, Gwyneth, Jabe, Angela, Reinette ... - and usually they're only better because they know the time period better. It's not a big deal.

Why can't fandom in general mellow the f out?

He said he couldn't use the TARDIS on account of them already being part of events. Which makes no sense because he's met himself places how many times now? But the point is, in the little universe of that episode, he's fucked unless he wants to go back and pick her up before he met her.

And how creepy would you have to be to go pick up a 6-year-old girl and fly around with her till she's old enough to snog? Hey! There's another badfic for ya!

Fandom is stupid, and doesn't like threats to the OTP. As such, they must be destroyed in every possible way. Hence the Mickey bashing fics, the Jack bashing fics (until we found out he was an omnisecual slut), the Adam bashing fics, the Ten bashing fics (because his love for her could never be as pure as Nine's, yo)
