So where, exactly, does one apply? I don't see an apply form, and I can't post until I'm already a member. I'm geeky, just not magical.

I mean, I see the form on the user info, but not a post on where to post it.

You press the "Join Community" button, a mod approves you, and then you copy-paste the application into a post in the comm. And the current members vote whether to keep you or not.

And, I suppose, if the final vote is no, you lose membership (we haven't not allowed anyone yet. Though one person we are still debating)
