In other fandomness, I is currently reading up on spoilers for the Torchwood preview. Since it isn't Doctor Who, I don't mind being spoiled, so go me. Also, about the Big Huge Spoiler that most people are keeping secret - I shall refer to it, but not actually say what it is. So this won't make much sense unless you know it.


Despite everyone going "OMG IT'S A BIG HUGE SHOCK!" I have to say that I had guessed it. I'm not sure whether that says more about my abilities of guessing plots, or RTD's writing.

That said, from what I've heard about how it's revealed - that's a big shock.

And I want people to tell me more about the Who refs in it, dammit!

I can't wait until Friday night. I bet the batshippers crash TWoP's forums. Should be pretty amusing.

And the thing about Jack isn't so much surprising as it is kind of obvious. But maybe that's just me. I'll probably still watch it anyway though.

I also want to see the recap, since Jacob has admitted to loving the ep.

Yeah, it was sort of... when I heard there was a Big Important Thing, this is what came to mind. I'll watch it, yeah.

So far this season a lot of the downloaders and UK folks have been popping up on the episode threads, so between them and the ones who are seeing it for the first time I expect a high level of crazy. Though you never know, maybe reason will prevail. It's not likely, but it could happen.

Sunday, UK time - which is Monday morning for us. But, yes, if you give me a CD on Monday I can burn it for you. I probably won't end up grabbing them until Monday evening, anyway.

(There are two episodes this week, and I believe they are slightly longer than Doctor Who, so they mightn't fit on one disc)

Gah, I hate being a US Who fan (The others in this catagory tend to make us all look like idiots, especially with their posts to places like the link you provided.) An other reason for me to avoid the main haunts of fandom.

As for Torchwood, I can't even get to the BBC's vid portians of the Torchwood site & I have to get my eps via torrents or wait until boxsets are out & pay like 50£ for it (I think that is the going rate plus shipping.) I've not been aoiding spoilers on the comms but I don't want my pov to be colored more than it already is before I see it b/c of other opinions.

Nah, most of the US fans are quite sane. Like all fans, it's the bad ones that are memorable, though.

I shall be obtaining Torchwood the same way I obtained Doctor Who, mainly because we haven't a clue when Australia will show it - or if they will. And I don't mind finding spoilers, because it is not something I care about as much as Who. Yet, anyway.
