So, it seems to be the time of year that LJ starts with it's Christmas wishlists and card exchanges and all. I have current signed up for a couple, and will for a couple more, once I figure out what I want, exactly. (Onliney type stuff I know - a couple of specialised icons, and I am always open to getting short fics. Also, pondering the merits of specialised layouts. RL things, I haven't as yet considered. I may go for a browse on Amazon or whatever.)
Eh, it'll be done in a couple of days.
In other news, erm, very little has been happening. Srsly.
I wander off and go back to my book. (Ptolemy's Gate, by Jonathan Stroud. Third in the Bartimaeus trilogy. Yeah, I went and bought a whole bunch of kids fantasy books. I'm in one of those sorts of moods)
Also, I now have a sore throat. I am not sure if this is because I am coming down with something, or because I fell asleep with my mouth open. Time shall tell, I suppose.

Erm... I've only read the first two, but they are rather fun. For the most part, they are written from the perspective on the really snarky djinni Bartimaeus, who's one of those arrogant smart-arses that never shuts up. The other main lead is Nathaniel/John Mandrake (the two names thing makes sense when you read it), who starts out as a precocious, ambitious kid, and gets caught up in government stuff. I'd recommended reading one or two before you go for the whole trilogy.

EEE, Christmas! Although I feel bad about getting excited over Christmas because a few people at work don't have their family here (what with originally coming from another state or country) and so are fairly 'meh' about the whole thing :(
*gets a little excited about Christmas anyway :D*

And it weirds me out a little how close Christmas is.
