I have noticed that in the last couple of weeks, a number of randoms have friended me. So come on, introduce yourselves! Tell me who you are, what you're into, why you friended me. Etcetera and so forth.

Also, I am currently being annoyed at the OG, for quite incoveniently dying when I had just started reading some interesting (possible) spoilers. Grrr.

On the note of Doctor Who fandom: If I had any vidding skills whatsoever, I would make a Doctor Who (all eras) fanvid to La Vie Boheme from Rent. Because when it popped up on my iPod on the tram home, I started mentally associating lyrics to Who moments.

I wish I had vidding skills. Any volunteers want to give it a shot?

Uni-wise, Uni is... Uni. Lectures were sort of on the dull side this week. Though I have been given the instructions for the Small Child Experiment. Need to hear back from my tutor about a lab partner, though, first.

The Mother is now declared incapable of criticizing my Stella McCartney fashionista-ing. Mainly because she went to the Warrnambool store and got twice as much as me. I'm trying not to think about how this reflects certain similarities in fashion sense

Oh, and my Nan was supposedly transferred back to Warrnambool yesterday.

Hi, I'm Vali, I friended you for the Doctor Who talk and also because I enjoy your journaling style anyway. I also like BtVS and, uh, a lot of other things that I could remember if I were actually awake right now. Mostly I'm still waiting around for Max Headroom to come back.

I have a journaling style? I thought I just yammered on about random shit. And occasionally speculated wildly and wrote tl;dr meta.

BWAH! That would be hilarious.

Vidding skills are not impossible to attain, y'know. Certainly much easier than getting rid of the urge once you get started... ;->

Well, yeah. Which would be why I haven't made one in, oh, five years. I'm trying to get jump-started again (and no, this one isn't cutting in line, sorry! *g*), but am reinventing the wheel to some extent due to a completely new computer setup.

It exists. It was one of the first ones I ever downloaded, so I can't point you to a YouTube link. The first screen says "The Bohemians, a vid by Cat" and then it launches into exactly the vid you describe. Heavily into the latest seasons (clips go as late as Love and Monsters, which gives you a timeframe) but also with appearances from Four, Five, Six, Seven, and Eight.

Pah. Well, if nothing else, it proves that saying about there being no new ideas in the world.

Um, hi! Hope you don't mind being friended out of the blue. I'm fairly sure I found you via Fandom Wank. I'm new to Doctor Who fandom, and found myself nodding in agreement to or greatly amused by so many of your posts that I decided to be impertinent and friend. *grin*

Ah, a FW person? You post there, or just hang around anon? (And if you do post there, what's your username?)

I haven't been active for a while (fandom hiatus and all) - last time I was involved was probably some Fullmetal Alchemist (the king of wanky anime fandoms) wank a year ago. Doctor Who fandom seems hugely intimidating and no less wanky. *grin*

(Icon love! I once spent a good ten minutes just snickering at the kitten one you posted with when I saw it on f_w.)

I've heard about FMA, but only through FW (I am not at all familiar with anime.)

I love having heaps of icons. You can have all sorts of funny shit.

And gratuitous pretty. Which I am so guilty of, especially when it comes to DW.

(What's the University of Melbourne like? I go to the University of Auckland, which is I suppose like you guys' less awesome cousin. *grin*)

There is nothing wrong with gratuitous pretty. Whatsoever.

(It's... like a Uni. At times fun, at times boring, at times overly pretentious.)
