There's something very odd about listening to the sound of rain, and thinking that it sounds so unusual. I mean, it's rain! I can remember times back at Primary School when the roads near the farm would get flood, water over a meter deep.

And yet rain has somehow become an unusual sound.

*sighs* I hate the stupid drought.

And whilst on the subject of changes from childhood, I have just realised that it's 2 months until my 21st, and I have very little organised for it thus far. So, to start organising, this bit goes out to everyone on my flist who will be in Melbourne around my birthday.

Current thoughts are possibly Dracula's (Cabaret Restaurant, Dinner and Show), though I am open to other suggestions. The advanatage of Dracula's is that no-one would bat an eye there if I decided on a costume party...

Also, I'd have to work out the dates. You can get group bookings if I get a suitable number (more than 12) for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, so that'd be either the 29th, 30th or 31st of May. (Birthday's the 28th)

So, if you're interested, let me know, tell me what date would suit best, and if you have any other suggestions as to what I could do.

Since 2003, I think it is. Being Australia, it's one of those on and off things (I've always lived vaguely near the coast, so it's less noticable for me, but the further inland you go, the nastier it gets).

But... well, it's gotten rather worse over the last few years.

It's great fun, actually. And terribly funny at times.

(I've actually already seen the show they have going now, but I could go again)
