Hey, is it just me, or is there an entire night unacounted for in The Shakespeare Code?

No really, I swear there is.

Because the confrontation at the performance of Love's Labours Won happens during the night, but the next scene? Is set during the day, with Shakespeare trying to hook up with Martha, and the Queen's arrival.

So, what on Earth happens in the night between those two events?

Notwithstanding the fact Globe performances always took place in the daytime (it was too much of a tinderbox to countenance torches at night - in the end, burning debris from a stage cannon put paid to it, though)...

It's true, IIRC there still aren't any performances after dusk today. I vote for another bed scene, maybe pillow fights.

The modern Globe has a normal matinee-plus-evening schedule, although in the historically-accurate productions they try to avoid anachronism by having the house lights up throughout and no special lighting effects for the stage.

IIRC they discuss this in the commentary - I think the reason they decided to set the play at night was that the special effects in the climax would look better in the dark.
