Huh. So, the wank that never ends has decided to, um, not end. And it looks like the Lexicon wank will be in for the long haul.

Ah, so much stupid, so little time.

Actually, I'm in a weirdly Harry Potter mood at the moment. Not entirely sure why, but that's just the way of things. And thus I am in the mood for Harry Potter fics. I'll be digging around myself, but for the HP fen on my flist, feel free to drop in recs for plotty post-DH fics. Preferably gen or non ship focused, and either in the 19 years gap or post-epilogue.

Actually, I'm just in a terribly weird mood overall right now. Was getting all teary about absolutely nothing earlier, and am otherwise feeling rather apathetic and short attention span-ish.

Oh well. *goes to try and find fic to read*

For some reason, I'm really not in a reading Who books mood. I have lots of the new series ones, and a few old ones, but at the moment I just can't into them. Maybe I'll be more enthused once the show's back on and I get into the swing of things.

The books are okay, but it seems like a step backwards after the very deep and good NA's back in the day.

That, and because they are set between the episodes they can't actually cause any major changes.

Its kinda strange.. I mean, the new show is a little more child friendly, but they keep it at a point where it surfs the border. the books seem just too easy. Im not fussed if they dont change anything, some of the missing adventures were brilliant. I remember a 7th doctor story involving the "knackersyard" :P and there was a 4th doctor story that had something to do with sherlock holmes...

Have to agree with that, too - the books are a lot more kiddie than a number of the TV stories. Which is understandable, though I am completely with you in wishing they'd write some slightly more adult ones.

Is it wrong to kind of be looking forward to a few years in the future when the current era is past, and they start writing past Doctor stories about the Tenth Doctor and all that? I know there are no plans for it at present, but it's one of those things that'll be inevitable at some point.

Well there's rumours that they're going to make a handful of movies based of McGann's adventures, hopefully if that ever happpens it will be a little bit darker, perhaps even show us why Eccles was so depressed over the time war??

Think of this - What if a sociopathic serial killer went around killing people who actually deserved it?? Dexter has a ... well semi normal life, outside of that he hunts down people who escape the criminal justice system for their crimes... meanwhile as they show progresses for the first time he begins to become a proper person, starts to get feelings for people..

Its soooo good.

That sounds... sort of Death Note-ish. Only with a killer who gets more human, rather than less as the series progresses (and has less of god complex, I assume).
