So, I have finally reached 8000 tracks on iTunes, as of, erm, yesterday.

For some reason, this pleases me immensely. Then again, I had been wondering how long it would take since I got over about 7500.

(The 8000th track would be one of the bunch Toy Dolls songs I downloaded the other. I find this oddly pleasing, too, because you can't support a band that does a cover of The Final Countdown with kazoo solos).

In other news, the Torchwood S2 start date has been announced - as like everyone had guessed, it's the 16th, at 9pm - and there is an extended Torchwood trailer going round. There's also supposedly a specific one for the first ep, but I haven't seen that online yet.

It needs more Martha, but otherwise looks wonderfully exciting and, well, good. Though fandom seems to be rather more caught up in a certain moment of the trailer (Slashers who have not as yet seen this trailer, plz be watching it now, kthx) than the rest...

Eh.

Otherwise I'm finding fandom on the dull side. Almost two weeks until Torchwood starts, none of the Whofic being written is appealing to me much, and I don't think we'll be getting much more by the way of Who spoilers until the next DWM is out. Which is soonish, I believe.

No wonder I seem to be randomly lurking around Indiana Jones and Batman forums, checking out the spoilers and just general random fandom and squee.

Someone entertain me, plz?

ETA: Check out this totally awesome HBP movie poster! Pretty certain it's fan-made, but still: Awesome.

I did a little dance as I reached 3000 tracks last week. I seem to average about 1000 tracks a year.

Well, it did kind of help that I had almost 100 albums before I got iTunes. And now I totally need a new CD rack, because that one's full and I have CD piles everywhere

I've a lot of fanmixes and random LimeWired stuff, though. And music obtained via friends.

I love this track by them. I love chanting along screaming "Yul Brynner!!!"

I know it's not for a while, but I wanna hear some audio of Martha in Torchwood! Not too keen on the severe hairstyle in the first clip, reminds me too much of Adeola...

I have to admit that isn't a personal favourite, though it is still rather fun.

Me too, though given the lead time until the upcoming episodes, I suspect we won't get that until the trailer for the first episode she shows up in. And now I am wondering if we'll get any specific Adeola refs, since Ianto used to be at Torchwood London...

Doctor Who fandom has seemingly been suspiciously quiet for the last few days. Which means that any minute now, RTD's going to say something stupid, a major spoiler will leak, or a handful of LJers will get into it. Or, you know, any combination of the three.

Sounds about right. Should we start placing bets? Or something...

Oh, I've seen it all right.

I hate to fall into the fangirl cliche, but this really does help with making me want to actually see Torchwood (and I can't get over how surreal that is, honestly).

I'm not a huge fan of James Marsters, to be honest. He's way too skinny (in a dried out kind of way). And he looks really, really old in that picture.

Jack and Ianto snogging, though ... now that's hot.

It's not the most attractive picture of him, I'll admit. But Spike was always my favourite Buffy character, and the spoilers seem to have him down as another fun one...

But there seems to be some Jack/Ianto snoggage coming up, so you've got something to look forward to.

I have Whofic being written! But it is all little and short and I don't know if it will appeal to you or not. I am open to suggestions, though! And also I'm very much looking forward to writing Jack/Spike wossname, Not Spike, because yes.

They are rather cute and fun. And I was amused by the other Doctor's reactions to Ten, even if the part of me that still as Ten as my fave Doctor (Yes, still I blame the writers) felt mildly bad about the poor guy looking such a fool.

I suspect it'll flood fandom for a bit.

I still love Ten, that's part of why I get so annoyed at what they've done to him. They've turned this character that I love into Racist Tinkerbell Jesus, bleh.

That being said, though, it's tradition for previous Doctors to talk crap about the new guy. And I tease because I love. XD
