So, the very first thing I found out when I came online today? Is that Heath Ledger is dead.

I wasn't even that huge a fan of his, but I was really looking forward to The Dark Knight and his Joker and, well...

I honestly have no words.

I actually found out about this news when I was talking to my brother, whose the same age as Heath, on the phone. That gave him a nice freak out. I wasn't that big a fan either, but he was one of the better actors of his age bracket and he likely had a promising career ahead of him. It really is too bad.

He'd been filming a movie with Terry Gilliam, but don't know how big his part was in that or how much they got done filming. Batman was in post-production, so that won't be effected. However, it's going to be morbid business for a re-cast if Joker was intended to appear in any of the future movies.

I found out when I checked my JF flist, and the post I linked was the top post. And I just went WHAT!

I was aware of the Gilliam role, since I've been lurking around a bunch of Batman sites since I saw the trailer for The Dark Knight.

And yes, any recasting will be creepy as fuck.

...It's wrong that now I really want a Joker icon, isn't it?
