Most importantly: Kevin Rudd's Apology to the Stolen Generation.

I sorta kinda slept in too late to watch it live, but that's what the Internet is for, you know? All us people who missed out the moment itself.

But it's a terribly strange feeling to actually feel pleased about what the Government is doing.

In even more local news, I seem to be proving my contrariness again. I had absolutely no interest in Underbelly until this week. But as soon as they ban it? I'm so there.

Probably says a lot about me, really.

Oh, and the Kimono lady was at the Night Market again. I suspect you can guess the next bit. ;)

I feel angry that Howard wouldn't even attend. Nelson's speech was offensive, but you can say he tried. And poor Gough! I spose he's in his 80s now, but damn! My grandfather is around his age and he looks better than that! :P

Here's another sorry - this is def. going to be a 700 MB download. It will be on the Aussie Torrents about nowish, maybe an hour. I'll post a link when I see it..

Howard really is lacking in class. Or maybe he's just a sore loser. I was a bit disappointed in Nelson, because I thought he was being nicely progressive in backing the apology, and then we got that.

Ah well, if it's in the off-peak hours, I can deal with large files. It's only during the day I need to watch the limits.

thanks for posting the link, I didn't have internet access that day to check anything out, I was going to check out the newspapers, but the 30min videos on youtube is so much better. That is such a good speech, I had tears in my eyes.

btw, since I missed all australian news for the past week, what did Nelson say?
