You know, I do actually have, theoretically speaking, quite a lot to post about.

However, practically speaking, I just finished reading Small Favor (aka the new Dresden Files book), and I didn't get a lot of sleep last night, and so can't be arsed.

Feel free to point me in the direction of discussions of said book, and I may check them out in the morning.

And now I am off to update myself on all the fandomly news and then head off to bed.

Well, yes, but the question is whether it's worth buying in hardback.

Which, I think, depends on if you're just a casual fan of the series or not.

(I'll say it's not the best book in the series, but it appears to have set up some important plot points for future events. And it's got some rather fabulous moments)

Oh, what a coincidence. I just started reading Small Favour.

No idea where discussion takes place for it, though.

Amazing how all the people who like the series are miraculously reading the book just after it comes out...

Annnnddd... I'm done. Hmm. If you find any discussion on it, I'd greatly appreciate you hooking me up; I'll return the favour if I can.

At the moment... I... hmm. I think I need a bit of time to process it. What did you think?

I think there's some stuff floating around in the [livejournal.com profile] dresden_files comm.

As for the book, I agree on the needing time to process. It took until the second time I read White Night for it to fully settle in my head.

My main criticism of Small Favor would be that there were just So. Many. Fight scenes. I just felt like it needed a few more moments to settle down instead of being at high gear all the time. Especially since I think the best moment in the book (or one of the best) wasn't a fight but Nicodemus and Harry's little chat at the aquarium. Now, that chapter had a killer ending.
