I had a dream once where all I did in it was eat brussel sprouts, and love them. Considering I never eat sprouts, or like them even a bit, I felt kind of weird when I woke up.
I seem to have gone ages without remembering them (though I used to have seriously weird dreams back in school). All of a sudden I am remembering them again...
I dreamt about Doctor Who and Torchwood cast members last night and I'm really annoyed that I barely remember it because I just don't seem to have fun fandom related dreams much. Most of my dreams are about my school days and teens with recurring themes of rejection and humilation.
Issues? Moi?
PS. I am so jealous you've seen The Dark Knight already. It doesn't come out here until the 25th. The friggin' 25! How can they do this to me? It's already hard avoiding the spoilers too...the media are all over it.
I really need more dreams where I'm snogging various attractive fictional characters. It couldn't do me any harm.
Christian Bale is lovely. He's a real actor, really not interested in the limelight side of things at all. It's really refreshing to have someone around like him who cares more about the craft and less about the fame. And he's one of the few celebrities I've met at film premieres that actually personalises autographs. Or at least he did. Don't know if he still does now he's a bit more famous as this was just before Batman Begins came out.
Stage doors, film premieres and the convention circuit are great. Though there's lots and lots of waiting and you'll only get to be with your celeb of choice for like, half a fraction of a nano second, but it usually manages to be worth it. I've been doing the celeb stalking thing for three years now and you get to meet a lot of interesting non-celeb people too. Some scarier than others.
See, it's trickier when one lives in Australia. Rather fewer peoples come down this way for things.
And it was much, much harder back when I lived out in the sticks.
I think my famous people list basically stands at a bunch of writers (including Terry Pratchett and Joss Whedon). Oh, and Dylan Moran, whom we stalked to a bar.
I'm lucky enough to live near enough to London so I can travel there for these things. It's only just under a couple of hours away and as long as I can afford the rail fare (not much longer if they keep putting it up), I can take the occasional trip up there. I'm going on Saturday for the London Film & Comic Con. Looking forward to a weekend away, God knows I need one. It's going to be a little insane though, since Chrisopther Lloyd, Patrick Stewart, and John Hurt will all be there, among others.
See, the amount of really big cons I can get to without going interstate is really limit. I think SuperNova's the only multi-fandom one I know of, and half the time the guests are people I have no interest in, so I don't go.
I still get jealous of people going to the massive cons in the US like the SD Comic Con. But the UK cons are pretty good really, and still manage to get some quite impressive guests. I'm really looking forward to seeing Margot Kidder this weekend. I'll be reduced to a gibbering wreck but I can't wait. Looking forward to Peter Davison and Sylvester McCoy too. Sylvester was my first Doctor back when I was still a tiny thing.

Oh, rub it in, you cruel evil person. It's just so not fair. Christian Bale is one of my favourite actors too. I need this movie.

Christian Bale is a terribly attractive man, it can't be denied.
