So, Act Three of Dr. Horrible has just gone online.

All I have to say is this:


Ouch.

I mean, it was very well down, but I sat there in shock for about five minutes.

But then, I should have predicted it. It's Joss Freaking Whedon.

I say again, ouch.


And back to your regularly scheduled Dark Knight obsessing.

Movie is now out in the US (and is apparently raking in crazy amounts of money), so we are starting to get fannish output. Mostly art and a few drabbles (plus some fun stuff on TVTropes), but it's much more fun.

Also, I, um, went and saw it again last night. Yes, I know, shut up. Anyone want to come see it in IMAX with me?

On that note, being Australian, we didn't get the pre-movie trailer for Watchmen, so I had to check it out online. Which is a bit disappointing, because I'd love to know how it looks on the big screen.

I'm totally showing my comics n00b by saying that I'm only actually reading Watchmen for the first time right now, but that trailer has me sold on the visuals. Now, to hope the acting holds up...

I'm out in the burbs - the Chirnside cinema site is down, Hoyts' site was playing up and nearly all sessions at Knox are sold out for the rest of the day. I got three tickets in the fourth row to the side at 8:30 - their giant VMAX cinema is already booked out, front row only left. Gods!

NPH has been on Broadway, done Sweeney Todd and Rent and Assassins. He is an excellent singer - and this role was perfect for him.

I am ever so greatful I'm just a tram trip from the CBD. Makes things much easier.

(Incidentally, if you go to cinemas on your own, you can get tickets to films that are theoretically sold out, as I discovered last night).

My Broadway knowledge is admittedly limited.

I saw TDK at IMAX and it was awesomely awesome since some of the shots took up the whole screen.

And ditto with the Dr. Horrible thing. I expected something to happen in Act III, but the end still took me by surprise.

I can't believe I didn't see that coming. Once it happened I went "oh, but of course OH NO YOU BLOODY BASTARD HOW CAN YOU DO THIS TO THEM?????!!!!!!!!!" Poor Dr. Horrible. One moment I was laughing my head off, the next I was in shock and and and *sniffle*. I'd forgotten just how cruel Joss can be. Bastard.
