I take it from the absence of commentary on the previous post that nothing much of interest happened online while I was away. Too busy with Christmasness and all, I suppose. Which is only fair - I had a bit of that going on myself.

But yeah, ended up down at the Farm (the literal farm) with the Parentals and the Sister - and on a less traditional note, the Sister's Boyfriend.

We did the Traditional Christmas family whatsits, though some of the traditions were kinda new - Carols by Candlelight in Byaduk, of all places - and ye olde family dinner, and seeing assorted grandparents.

And presents, of course.

I got a Dark Knight DVD from the Sister, a new (and larger) memory card for my phone from Dad, and a bunch of travelling type goodies from Mum. Plus, some Egyptian (and Jordanian) moneys.

Aside from Christmassy shenanigans, in my time away I also managed to see The Curious Tale of Benjamin Button at the cinema (Not bad, in a "this is blatant awards bait" way), complete the entire Codex Alera book series thus far, and get half-way into Cowboy Bebop.

Which I shall be marathoning tomorrow, so I should be able to give you your DVDs back at New Years, [livejournal.com profile] tinyteddyqueen.

In other news, according to an email I got, Threadless shirts are in postage as of the 23rd. 'Course Christmas and New Years will kill the postal system for a bit, but they're on their way.

And on an entirely different note, in one month I will be going to Egypt! *\o/*

2009 Video Competition

Is it possible that it is time for a new video competition? With David Tennant leaving Doctor Who, and Freema Agyeman busy on her new series, Law & Order: London, could fans see to it that Martha Jones' place in the Who universe isn't forgotten? Who knows, maybe there still time for another spectacular Martha appearance on Doctor Who?

Regardless, there's been so much video talent out there lately, a new competition would keep everybody on their game!
I'd do it myself, but I'm new to LiveJournal, and frankly I could use some help. Your last competition resulted in everyone seeing "Let's Go", it would be great if some of that those new Youtube videos helped ring in the New Year! Happy Holidays!

Where can LiveJournal newbies go to get up to speed?

I'm new to LiveJournal. Where can I go to learn to put my avatar? Put in Youtube links in posts, current mood, and all that fancy stuff that pro's like you do?

If you could point me in the right direction, I'd sure appreciate it!

Thank you!

No offence intended, but I have no idea who you are, so this probably isn't the right place for it.

So, if you wish to discuss what goes on in [livejournal.com profile] lifeonmartha, try the post we set up for that.

And if you want help on regular LJ-ing, go the Livejournal FAQs.

Sorry for any inconvenience. I'm just a big Doctor Who fan who adores the Martha Jones character, and to be part of this prolific community. Also, I'd like to see 2009 started out right with more Martha, I'm hoping somebody on this forum is interested in starting another video competition like last year, Official [info]lifeonmartha Fanmix (and Fanvid) competition:

There's a lot of good stuff since the holidays, and "Lets go" was phenomenal.

I hope that they've removed that cow from their football oval by now. Silly country towns!
