And look what's already made Fandom Wank.

Anyhow, after stating my initial reaction, reading some intelligent comments both pro and con, and LOLing at the ridiculous flailing, it has dawned on me that given the thing that we really need to get definite opinions on Eleven - actual footage - isn't going to show any time soon, this is how fandom is going to be for the next year and half.

To which I have the highly intellectual reaction of fuck that shit, and am henceforth declaring a moratorium on all discussion of Mr Eleven in this LJ. Except for when I feel like talking about it.

And thus I shall return to watching Trigun. Vash is so adorable.

Eleven ending up on Fandom Wank was like the first sure bet of 2009.

Is Trigun good? I've heard both good and bad things about it but, never have watched it.

True, that. It wasn't the first wank of 2009, mind.

I'm only like a quarter of the way in, so I'm not the best critic, but it's growing on me. I like the leads, the backstory is intriguing, and it's fun and lulzy. And I've heard it gets darker later on. I'll admit it's not Bebop spectacular - the writing has clunky moments and the animation isn't the best I've seen - but it's decent.

And I'm a little in love with the opening song.

11 confuses me because in some photos he looks okay but in some he looks utterly fugly. He's like one of those paintings that look different depending upon which angle you look at them from.

I suspect he'll be having a major make over at some point though. Which is disappointing because I hope he remains fugly and we get less fangirl. The only problem with DT in my opinion was he was just too damn pretty.

As for how he'll be as the Doctor - how the hell am I supposed to know? Never seen in him anything. So that's that conversation over until 2010...

He could do with a different haircut, and the actual Doctor costume will probably do a lot to sway people.

I would agree on the fangirl point, but there's a lot of people with zillions of fangirls whom I don't see the attraction, so I suspect that's a subjective point.
