I just got a bill for 72 cents.

Now really, just what is the point of that supposed to be?

Even as a student of the money-obsessed school of American business, I have to say billing for 72 cents is roflsauce.

The best bit: It's for the iPartment, which means it theoretically should be divided up for the three of us.

...

lollololol.

It's moments like these that make humanity so gosh darn amusing.

I am looking forward to telling them they each owe me 24 cents.

I think the last time a friend told me I owed him some X amount of cents I actually threw the payment at his head. Good times.

(Then again, I throw pennies at friends for my own amusement regardless)

Oh yeah, you guys still actually use one cent pieces.

Ain't nothing wrong with throwing things at people. It can be highly entertaining.

I think we're phasing it out. I actually use mine occasionally, since I'm that rare freak of a customer who likes paying with exact change.

Oh it is. The people in question just generally don't find it as entertaining as you do.

I can barely remember when we still used them in Australia (though wiki tells me it was 1992).

It depends what you are throwing at them.

New Zealand's phased out 5c pieces too, it's nice having everything as round numbers.

The don't ever have 5 cent coins there?

Truly, it is a mad, mad world we live in.

LOL, our library used to do that - send letters out to inform members that they had 20 cents of fines outstanding.

Seriously.

This one is from the electricity company. It's going to be such fun going to the post office to pay that one off.
