I think the last time a friend told me I owed him some X amount of cents I actually threw the payment at his head. Good times.
(Then again, I throw pennies at friends for my own amusement regardless)

I think we're phasing it out. I actually use mine occasionally, since I'm that rare freak of a customer who likes paying with exact change.

I can barely remember when we still used them in Australia (though wiki tells me it was 1992).
