And I am home again, back to Ye Olde Apartment.

Australia is very... Australia (read: cold, and filled with political campaigning) but hey, what can you do?

Did a bit of catching myself up, mail and what-not - incidentally, the post card I sent apparently arrived like two days ago? 'Course, I'm still not really up to date on more personal stuff, anyone care to get chatty?

...But not tonight. Tonight I need a decent night's sleep.

Welcome back! Nothing new on my end, lol, except being lazier than usual. And it still kind of surprises me to hear Australia as cold.

Yes, I noticed that. I kept waiting for the obligatory chapter update when I had to rush off somewhere, but it never happened,

And it's winter now, silly. (And it probably isn't that cold, by US standards - we don't get snow or anything)

I was expecting to get it done myself, but this chapter was not particularly fun. It probably won't be a very strong chapter overall, but I'm gonna make up for it with the coming chapters for sure.

I'd be surprised, but it's actually been severely overcast over in California a lot of the time, which is utterly bizarre weather for the freaking August, lol.

D'aww, that's not good. /resists urge to ask about later chapters.

...That does sound odd. And yeah, the weather has gone insane.

It's just... I've seem to lost my taste for fight scenes. When I was younger, I loved them. Now, things like plot and crazy twists get my motor running, not having to write explosions and gunfights.

It is seriously weird. If by winter I actually need my scarf, I will probably assume the apocalypse is coming.

I have never been able to write fight scenes. Ever. So I don't try. And yeah, plot and crazy twists are lots of fun. Explosions look cool, though.

Ahahaha! /says the girl who lost count of how many scarves she owned after they hit 50

I used to like them, but now I find them so limiting in scope- I already know who's going to win, and how, more or less, so really it's just padding it out for drama. Dialogue, on the other hand, is far more versatile.

lol, I've only ever owned one, and it's a gift from what was basically my foster mother in Japan. No need for it here... in normal weather, anyway.

Ahahaha, you've just mentioned why I have never been able to write more than short stories/one shots. Ever. Because I always just want to get to the dramatic climactic scenes, and I get so bored writing the build up to them.

It's not a weather thing - mostly, I have a few thick ones for winter - it's a fashion thing. Or a my taste in fashion thing, anyhow.

Again, yay you're back!

And lol, my aunt just came back from visiting the grandkids in Melbourne and she's still got a touch of that nasty cold brought about from the chills.
At least you guys get to have a winter wardrobe and wear it :/ I have a sad attachment to trench coats even though I don't have the opportunity to wear those here, see

On my side, s'not like I've been updating much either ^^" But news not previously mentioned anywhere: I've caved and ordered Alicezaku in Wonderland, so we'll see about some pictures within the next month or two, hopefully :D

*\o/*

Yeah, but then I get chilblains and colds and all that horrible shit.
...But yeah, trench coats are cool. I have this great sky blue one made of Chinese silk, and I got a new pink one in New York.

I am trying to decide if I am disappointed in the lack of updates, or pleased in that I will have time to respond appropriately when they do happen. And let me know when your doujinshi arrived. (I actually own some doujins now! I had them sent to my uncle's place in the states to save on postage)

*jealous of the trench coats*

But hooray for your books! And I will. That may take awhile though since I'm not sure what shipping method I will choose and I'm waiting on some other books too.

From: [identity profile] drakyndra.livejournal.com

Indeed, huzzah for them. Though I expect it would depend on where they are being shipped from, and so on.
