This entry is for yesterday, because I, er, really couldn't be bothered, actually. But still, the thought was there...
Managed to completely kill my feet, for one thing. Walking is all well and good for the exercise and health and all, but bloody hell, it is murder on the feet. No wonder I felt dead after about six hours.
Anyways, I started by wandering along Sydney Road for a bit, because I remembered seeing a few "Help Wanted" signs along there. Obviously, though, they had found their help, because I found nothing. Well, unless you count Red Rooster (and I am not as of yet desperate enough to try a fast food place).
So, after quite a while there, I trammed down to the city. Looked around Melbourne Central, which was actually quite productive, I must say. Got rid of four of my resumes, and found a couple a online places I really ought to check out. Which is going on the to-do list.
(And, on a different note, the EzyDVD there was quite handy with the prices of a few things I am going to get, once they finally are released: Blackpool for $39.95, which is quite acceptable, seeing JB won't give me a price as of yet, and the Doctor Who boxset at $139.95, which is still very expensive, but better than the official ABC stores. I'll have to see what it goes for at JB)
Then, wandered around through a few of the many and varied arcades in the city. Where I got rid of another resume, and managed to buy a few more badges. Well, it isn't my fault Corky Saint Claire had some great new ones in!
Then, when things started shutting for the evening, headed back to Brunswick (via a supermarket to buy myself some foodage). Where I...did very little, though I did manage to finish reading Ender's Game, after all these months of people recommending it to me.
And now I am started on Speaker for the Dead. Well, I've got to read something interesting.
And, to brighten up this slightly dull post, some photos of the incredible randomness that I saw on my wanderings.

Okay, I've heard of Toorak Tractors, but this is just ridiculous.

I thought it was illegal for businesses to have names that tacky...

Uh-huh. It's official: Randomest graffiti ever. Anyone care to translate? Or, for that matter, know what language it is actually in?

A store had this in it's front window. If it seems ordinary, take a closer look at what it actually says. Then I think you'll understand my double-take when I walked past.

Any sales place is good. Just get out a newspaper and there's ads in there for them, plenty, though many are full time and i don't know if that's what you'r interested in.
I would give you the number for my place, but then I'd feel guilty if you got a job there.

Why would you feel guilty if I got a job at your place?

I don't plan to stay there much longer - have an interview tomorrow which is very promising.

I wouldn't recommend sales unless you're desperate for work, but if you are, at least know that the option is always there.
