Been a very busy few days. Busy, busy, busy.

To start with: Thursday.

As my previous entry implies, we had out CHAS attending of Dylan Moran's performance. 'Twas quite good, even if I was almost falling asleep in my seat at a few points (not from boredom, mind, he was very good, but lack of sleep). And he did the hair thing! And made jokes about The Wiggles.

And of course afterwards the CHAS lot went and raced around the stage door in the hope of catching him, which was sadly unsuccessful. So we were starting to wander off, when [livejournal.com profile] tinyteddyqueen got a call from someone who had left a boit earlier, and who had just walked past a pub which Dylan Moran was sitting outside.

Naturally, we all raced up there, to fangirl/fanboy him, and beg autographs. If not entirely cheerfully - he was either really jetlagged, or really drunk, and not hugely sociable.

Oh well. At least I got my t-shirt signed.

Also on Thursday, I got back my Linguistics assignment (23 out of 30, which wasn't too bad, though I would have appreciated knowing my tutor was completely anal retentative about assignment format before we handed the damn thing in).

Oh, and I found out that Minotaur, wonderful place that it is, had just got in the Tenth Doctor books. I am sure you can guess what happened next. ;)

(I've finished The Stone Rose, and amcurrently half way through Feast of the Drowned. TSR has great characterisation, and is lots of fun, even if the plot sort of gets a bit ridiculous towards the end. It also has some rather shippy bits, which is either a plus or minus, depending on your point of view. And it's a bit kiddy, but hey! I like kids books. So far FotD is rather darker and more serious - less kiddy. Also, a bit darker Doctor - More "Six words" than "Rude and not ginger" as it were. Which works rather well for me, actually. Also, the fact a male writer refers to the Doctor as "cute" multiple times also amuses me greatly)

Friday involved me watching that 3 minute Doctor Who BBCi preview thing. I'd go into more detail in my thoughts, except they can probably be summed up in one word: SQUEEEEE!

Or I could boorow a description from someone on the OG: "The trailer was distilled from the Awesome fruit, lovingly hand picked by 3rd generation Awesome farmers from the land of Awesomevania, giving you a 100% proof bottle of PURE AWESOME!"

I am looking forward to EVERY SINGLE EPISODE so much right now.

Also, we had our Baseent Goth/Emo night thing. Which was rather fun - I got all dressed up Goth for it.

And... well, lets just say that far, far too much goon was consumed, and just leave it there, okay?

The next time I come online, New Earth will have shown, and (hopefully) I will be able to download it. *is filled with nervous squee*

Hah! I'm up to exactly the same place in thosse books! What a coincidence.

The 'cute' thing really makes me laugh. So did the bit in TSR about the elephant. And I can't forget about the fact that jackie has a picture of the Doctor's artwork stuck on her fridge. Sounds rather domestic to me ;)

I've finished FotD, and am now very early in The Resurrection Casket. Or I would be, if I hadn't stopped to watch New Earth, and join the squeeness.

And I didn't even think of that. Very domestic. *hearts*

I'm trying to make them last. By that I mean not finishing one in under 3 hours. I've got the whole holidays left full of nothing but assignments, Nationals comps and Restricted Cup events, so I want to make the most of having something relaxing to do. I doubt they'll last the next few days though ;) It's something to distract me from how long I'll have to wait to see New Earth. (okay, Friday isn't that long away, but it seems like it)

I don't know why, but it was the first thing that popped into my head. Jackie proudly displaying a photo of the Doctor's sculpture on her fridge. *snigger* It's the height of domestics! Makes her seem like his mum proud of a painting he did in preschool. Not much can top that.

But then again, there was that kiss! I was so not expecting that. We actually get a kiss with no funny business, and they make nothing out of it, and we son't even get to see it happening! *headdesk*
