My comments are far too long to everyone to just look at ordinarily, so if you want to find out about the formal, and what I was up to today, take a look behind the cut.
Well, the formal is done. All that time and effort that everyone spent getting ready for it, all the anticipation, and it is done for good. Went off quite well - I got all glammed up in my nice dress and jewellery and gorgeous (if rather painful) 3-and-a-half inch stiletto heels. Everyone looked so nice (except the idiot who wore on of those shirts with the suit draw onto it), and it was rather fun. But still being "the new girl", I would have enjoyed it a lot more if my friends from home were there.
Dinner was okay, (I sat next to this other girls date, who introduced himself by saying "No, I don't look like Harry Potter," even though he kind of did) except the stupid candles went and dripped wax all over my nice bag. The music was so-so, but then the band started, and it was really good. Lots of old songs, and classic rock stuff. I did the wallflower thing for a little while, but then I joined in. After witnessing the bizarreness of seeing my Chemistry teacher dancing, I got to dance with Dave (funnyman from my English class) and discovered that Geoff, School Captain and King of Bad Puns, was actually a rather snappy dancer. I wanted to go out to an afterparty, but sadly I didn't know where they were, so I just ended up going back to my Aunt's place.
After having a nice sleep in this morning, I went back into town for some shopping. I managed to pay off my lay-buy at the DVD store, meaningthat I am now the proud owner or Futurama Season 3, and The Princess Bride. Which might keep me occupied for a little while. I also checked out my favourite clothing story, and ended up buying this absolutely fantastic pink and green skirt for only 10 dollars. Since it was such a bargain, I couldn't resist plugging the store here. So if you are in Geelong, and like unique and interesting clothes, check out Wearhouse on Little Malop Street. Tres cool.
Oh, and I also ended up buying a book on funny emails for 4 dollars. I love my humour (as anyone knows my taste in books can attest), which is sort of ironic considering I am the girl who is known for being serious all the time and never smiling. Oh well, I have hidden depths!
And something I couldn't resist showing...
Check out that percentage! I am *so* going to take over the world! Go the evil that is me.
rynne, we shall so have to get together and plan our global domination using our amazing style and wittiness. Watch out, my arch-nemesis
