Crap. The latest episode of Doctor Who is finished, and it is starting to set my flist a-squee. And due to the stupid shaped Internet connection, I won't be able to see it until midnight tonight.
That is to say, almost 20 hours away.
And, considering how much of my damned flist is Doctor Who related, I will have to avoid it entirely to prevent getting spoilerised.
Along with most of the forums I frequent.
Crap.
*sighs* So, don't mind me, I'll just be sitting here finishing off my links list and doing homework.
Stupid shaping. *sulks some more*

good luck to you with that download

All was well and good, until my housemate discovered that the site listing how much of your limit you've used isn't updated instantaeously. And so the three gig we thought we had wasn't there.
So I can either grab the first download, and wait for it to very slowly go on dialup, or wait until midnight, and we have off-peak downloads (in which the limit is not yet reached).

(And that attended me to the fact that, although I had that comm on my flist, I never actually joined. Now remedied.)

May I perhaps suggest another Who-related activity?

Not subtle at all, no. :-)

My f-list, too, is overflowing with episode reviews, which probably means that I should start working on some literature bibliographies or other exciting stuff... *sigh*

...I just typed Crybermen. Talk about Freudian slips.

Heh! :D
My emo poetry on the topic of still being a Cyberman virgin would probably descend to the literary level of Vogon verse epics, though.

I just realised, I'm still a Cyberman virgin. I wasn't with Daleks last year, but this time I am. Weird.
And Vogon poetry can be entertaining. One of my clubs had a Vogon poetry competition last year.

Well, it's still the same for me. I had never seen a Dalek before, um, Dalek, but I can happily put all the blame for that on having to live in that bloody country where no one has even heard of the whole show. ;)

O_O
I'm sure that must have been a most ... memorable event. I've never actively tried writing Vogon poetry so far. I do take part in writing verses for our annual dorm Christmas party, though, and that's probably
close enough.

Some of the Vogon poetry can be found on <a href="http://cosmichitchhikers.com/bistro.php'>our website</a>. Along with some other interesting stuff.

Strangely enough, I had known about Daleks, though, despite them not being any part of German pop culture. Might have been due to general SF&F fandom osmosis.

ABC repeated the show? You lucky, lucky guys down under. *envious sigh*
But I *heart* Daleks.
How could anyone not adore the little, not-stair-climbing, bumbling, pepperpots?

And Dalek pwn.

I'd so move to Australia for that, if I didn't already plan to migrate to Britain first... :)

Guess I'll don't have to spend money on a plane ticket to Australia then.

Finding an e-mail with the subject line Vogon Poetry in my inbox made my evening. :D
