Hurrah, 'tis my birthday properly! I am now 20 years old.

And I am choosing to celebrate by... downloading The Idiot's Lantern. *facepalm*

At least I managed to sleep in a bit, and so get a really, really fast one. (24% done, hurrah!)

But yeah, Happy Birthday to me.

ETA: Hey, exactly how does one trace an IP address?

Ah, immaturity, what fun!

And I've gotten it down to someone in Amsterdam. Which is a bit odd, because the only person I can definitely place in Amsterdam has a different IP address.

Sure their IP is static? I think most people have a different one each time they log on. We had a static one for a while, but we had to pay extra for it.

I know. I haven't seen that episode, but I love that quote.

I don't know if it's static, but a got a network thing in Amsterdam. It gives a range of IPs that the one I am checking is in, but that the person I know is in Amsterdam isn't. And they are a bit far apart, anyway.

Funnily enough, it was the first classic episode I watched. Luke kept telling me the Fourth Doctor was the best, so I got his first episode, and we watched it.

The plot and the SPFX were hokey as hell, but there are some good lines. "You may be a doctor, but I am the Doctor. The definite article, you might say." And the FX are amusing, I guess. There's one shot of the Robot set against a very obviously toy tank that is amusing. It still doesn't beat Zoe's bubblewrap dress in The Five Doctors, though.

The first classic episode I watch was "An Unearthly Child." So...yeah.

And if you want amusing FX, you can't go past "Dalek Invasion of Earth". Some of those are just plain classic, they had Corinna and me in hysterics.

Ooh yes, I might've seen that first, I can't remember. That was the first I d/loaded--got "Robot" from the video store.

I've been trying to get Dalek Invasion of Earth, actually, but the torrent is so damned slow.

I really need to check out what the local video store has. I haven't even been in there yet.
