Turn my back on fandom for just a few hours (Because I had to actually, you know, study and all), and the shit manages to hit the fan. Multiple times.

Firstly, on the plagiarism fiasco: Apparently it wasn't just Cassie Claire. If ever a post was going to cause wank, this'd be it.

Meanwhile, over in the Doctor Who fandom, we have some interesting news about S3, as well as Doctor and Martha pics.

And naturally, the photos have been causing chaos. Of many kinds (just take a look around, and you'll see), but most notably, the declaration of Martha as "a chavvy whore". To which I respond: Bitch, please.

Oh, and apparently if you wear dark trousers and shoes, you are a "clone of Rose".


Personally, I really like Martha's outfit - the hair is rather interesting, and I love the jacket. The suit is a bit less of a nice surprise, but it has grown on me a bit. So not hate, but I'll wait and see about it.


Oh, and we have some David/Billie RPF which is giving me teh lulz.

ETA: To the people who have been in the fandom longer than me. Exactly how many late 20th century companions did the Doctor have in a row? Please post your reponses to everyone whining about having a saying they can't have two 21st century companions in a row.

Everyone seems to be hating on the Doctor's suit/coat combo. I actually like it better than the suit by itself. Though that is starting to grow on me as well.

..but can we please get rid of the red tie and go back to the cream/black/brown/any colour other than red chucks?

I've also seem remarks about Martha's hair, and how it should be impossible to achieve by herself. I don't know how it looks from the back, but I'm pretty sure that with the right aids I could do my hair in a style so that it looks like that from the front. By myself, yes. I do like her, from how she looks, though they might have been a bit more.... I dunno, creative? There *is* a certain similarity with the way Rose dressed on some occasions, although it's by no means the same look.

On the CC debacle... There are no words. Or maybe there are, but someone else has already said them.

It does seem to be one of those things that grow on you. I hated it this morning, but I am warming to it somewhat now.

As for the hair thing... um, I don't think it's nearly as hard to do as some people think. And as for the similarity - I can sort of see it, but it's hardly clone worthy.

That suit is ugh. The colour isn't bad on its own, but it is a little bright, I think. My main problem is that it looks godawful with the coat, and it doesn't fit him right.

I can see why they chose it though; it compliments her jacket.

Martha, on the other hand, looks lovely. Can't wait for season 3!

Also, is anyone else lulzing that those calling Martha "chavvy" based on these pictures would be the very same people who threw a hissy fit at suggestion of Rose being a chav? I am. ;)

Meh. Nice pics, but I'm saving my opinions on Martha until I've actually seen her in the series. I like to play safe. ;) The actress, for what her role was worth, was good in S2's finale.

Though I must say that I'm predisposed to like her just because so many seem to dislike her. *rebel.*
